Your 4 molars just in front are missing now so there in plenty of room along your jaw for those wisdom teeth , the main reason wisdom teeth are pulled is because there is not sufficient room for them to come in which causes problems with tooth eruptions and shifts other teeth , in your case because you have missing teeth is better to keep them as it with prevents your existing teeth from slowly shifting backword which causes gaps and crookedness which has the potential to result in TM if the later teeth shifting results in teeth not lining up so that the mouth closes evenly >> TMJ is not caused by having wisdom teeth but cause from jaw misalignment often resulting from crooked or misaligned teeth or jaw injury, so if your dentist is recommended not removing then don't I have recently had a wisdom tooth removed , it was removed just like any normal molar with needle to freeze the area first and once the freezing came out I had no need for pain killers since there was none and nor did I need an oral surgeon to do it, the x-ray will determine the root structure of the erupted wisdom if it is not complicate then can easily be done by your dentist, but if the tooth has heavy roots well anchored into the jaw or if the tooth has not yet erupted then a surgeon is recommended, aftercare recommendation can be oral and or in written instruction and often the dentist will ask you to call them if you start experiencing any problems
