People who blow smoke on you, cough cough. People who talk on the mobile whilst paying for their stuff- with me as shop assistant, obviously. How u doin, wot u up 2, i wanna c u 2day- any of that net-speak text-speak nonsense. I may not always spell it right, but at least I try. People who think its funny to chase you with a spider, or try and show it you, when they know you are terrified of them. Not cool. People who dont poop-scoop. Snotty attitude from changing-room assistants- its not the end of civilisation just because I picked up one too many items. Bigots, rasists, bullies, anyone who looks down on me because I'm Cornish. When the hand-towel is higher than wrist-height, so you have to reach up and the water runs down your sleeve. Finding what I've just bought cheaper in the next shop I go into... I feel better now.[sm=yahoo.gif]

Well, most of it has been said, but here's my list. 1. Tailgaters (of course!) 2. People who decide to smoke upwind at a busstop or those that can't seem to move more than half a meter away from the building entrance when they step out to smoke. 3. English speaking natives that assume by default that their language is the only proper language on earth and everyone else should speak english. 4. English speaking natives who automatically assume that spelling/gramatical mistakes imply below average inteligence. 5. People who utterly refuse to accept that not all problems have binary solutions. 6. Ad hominem argumentation on community websites. ;) 7. Spam IXian. <edited to add point 7. >

1. People who complain about smokers then when the wind shifts and my smoke blows in their face and i appologize, they tell me it's not necessary... 2. People who say "it's ok" or "why, it's not your fault" when i say "i'm sorry"...when has that ever been an acceptable acknowledgement of someone's sorrow for you????? i'm pretty sure it is a dismissal...if i didn't mean it, i wouldn't say it, so fucking accept it...lol 3. People who hold their children in their lap in the car while it is moving - even if it is just across the parking lot (i have been in a car that was totalled in a parking lot - an idiot doing 70mph through the parking lot)...I want to stop them and scream at them "don't you know if you have to slam on your breaks that child can become a projectile that will fly out a window?!?!?!" 4. Men who's first response to a woman being upset is "is it that time of the month?" 5. Anyone who's first response to someone with a known mood dissorder's being upset is "did you take your meds?" 6. The assumption that because you have not found a stable relationship that you are personally unstable... 7. Idiots who weave in and out of traffic and get no where fast, also gonna throw in here the people who burn rubber to the next red light...ooo you got there faster than me... 8. People with drivers licences that should have been taken from them years ago,Yesterday while at the post office one old man thought he had his car in park but of course it was in reverse,he nearly ran me down..I am usually good with ol' folks hell I will be one some day but a blue streak came from my mouth that had every one cringing...The fact that I have a bad ankle made getting out of his way a little bit tougher lol..

Oh gosh there are sooo many so I'll start with a few. 1. People who do not buckle their children in the car. That just drives me nuts. Children make perfect projectiles in a car accident when not buckled in. 2. Dominants who think that if I just try it, with them involved, I will enjoy being bi. I have news have tried it, wasn't for me, its not likely to change. 3. Driving in the fast lane and someone pulls into your lane and slows down...grrr. 4. People who are not true to their word. Don't tell me you are going to do something, show me with your actions, not words. 5. Any advice on my life, that I didn't ask for. If i wanted your opinion on my life, I would ask for it.

When idiots on CM message you, to tell you that youre fat/ugly/whatever, and that youre not worth their time. Uhm...Obviously I am since they took 2 minutes to sit down and write me, and then block me from messaging them back. And geeze...thanks for telling me what the mirror tells me 70 trillion times a day. Ohhh. Idiots that come off as total Norman Bates material, that I block, and they make a new name. Doms that message me with the standard "Me Dom, you sub, me club you over head and drag to cave" bs, and then flip the script and are all, "Please tell me what you wish, let me serve you, wah wah wah blah blah blah." Its been a loooong day...

People who talk in an overly animated way constantly, I assume to get attention, or because they think it is cool, or they don't know any better and don't realize how stupid it makes them look. Along the same lines as above, people who are trying to impress someone with every word and action, putting on a front, agreeing with everything, or trying to sound smart about something they know nothing about. "Doms" in the scene just assuming that anyone who they remotely associate as 'a submissive' will love anything domly they want to dish out and that they have the right to treat them as 'a submissive'. It seems to be an occupational hazard of certain dominant personalities that they think everyone loves them and feels submissive to them and anyone remotely submissive will just eat it all up. They missed the bits about self control and respect for others in dom school.

Great thread, but I see a flaw in the question. In my mind "Pet Peeve" has always been a minor irritant. Anyone who gives you a shallow answer might be doibng so because of their interpritation of the term. For example My minor pet peeves are people who spell things wrong to be cute, U instead of you and shoppe instead of shop. My bigger ones are people who see manners and consideration of others as a sighn of weakness. People with such a small vocabulary that they can only use the words gay and retarded for anything they disaprove of, People who assume the worst intentions of anyone they don't understand.
