FR: quote:
quote: ORIGINAL: kittinSol quote: ORIGINAL: orfunboi Why does human meat taste the same as cow? How do you know that ??? I don't, that's why I was asking Emperor about it. Ahh the famous "what does human taste like?" I won't rehash the entire debate, which is writ large on the 'Net (but goes back 100s of years). The problem is, of course, that either you answer this question by saying "I don't really know..." or by saying "Yes, I have eaten people meat and it tastes like..." at which time usually your audience has either drawn a personal weapon and is pointing it at you or fled. or both. Suffice it to say that (1) Paul Theroux, the fine travel writer, stated that the reason spam is so ubiquitously popular in the Pacific islands is that it approximates the taste of human meat for the now excannibals that reside there. Granted, Theroux later said that his statement was a joke, and noted that he -- as a committed vegetarian -- found ALL meat eating pretty equally gross. (2) Accounts of cannibal rememberances say people taste like a softer, fattier, sweeter mild beef. Not rangy or stringy at all. Oddly enough, interviews with the Donner party or those people in the Andes that survived by dining on their fellow travellers don't usually focus on gastronomy. So, kittin, want to join Me for dinner while I'm in Boston *WINK*? E.

"When you wake up, Pooh," said Piglet, "what's the first thing you say?" "What's for breakfast? What do you say, Piglet?" "I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.
