Slaveboy its not that hot where I am cause I have the sea breeze. I mean yeah its hot but there is always a breeze and it is always air conditioned.

As for the snakes etc we have all the posionous snakes of north america in tx. BUT you wont see them . There are rattlesnakes in the dunes in Galveston so dont go in there drunk to piss. Copperheads wont bother you unless you fuck with them... Moccassinas are motherfuckers but dont bring your boat under trees and your fine. Coral Snakes ya reallty gotta look for. I never found one... (What can I say I play with hot snakes!)

Gator hunting is a blast though and YUMMMMMY MEAT!

Got in my office was bit by a copperhead this weekend...still in the hospital

Copperheads, yeah, we have them here too, we see them splattered on the road a lot. Big black ones too, Water Moccasins I think, I ran over one about 3 weeks ago, that sucker was 6 feet long!
And when I first got down here I got some kind of bug bite and had a welt on my back from it for about a year.
Hot? It was 104 outside here today!
I was going to go to the gym today and opened the front door and got blasted by the heat and closed it.
Yeah, I hear the heat is Real bad down in Texas.

yep that's like Texas alright....you see people waiting before opening the doors...don't know if they are giving a quick count before they run to their cars, are just prayin...lol

Yes but, yes but... it got to 98F today... and I'm thankful I'm near the ocean but come on!!! It's not so much the heat that's unbearable but the muggyness... it's crazy! Where's the police when you need them?

LOL  you "so" got that right...I love it when it rains a few drops in the morning, you know just enough to mess up your car, then you have to spend the rest of the day in a sauna...lol

hotter than hot...and Houston has the added fun of HUMIDITY on top of the hot. swamp hot. constantly soaking wet hot (and not in a good way!). miserable hot.

why Houston? sooo many great places in TX..

Austin (if you can deal with the traffic), Hill Country is beautiful, San Marcos, Corpus, Fort Worth is suburb, close enough to Dallas without being that nasty.

Houston has great areas - and many things I miss about living there. But it is one big ass city...

Aviator - guess Sugarland has changed since I lived there!!

chelle, I loved the riverwalk.  I saw pictures of it died green for St Patty's Day.  I loved it.

The only thing I got to see in the Houston area that I liked was a strip club in Baytown.  It was the easiest place to find truck parking and they had a buffet there every Thursday I believe.  Nekked womens, alcohol and hot wings WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!

We actually have listings for "Snake Wranglers" in the Yellow pages here.
"Any time, day or night call 555-.... lol!
A copperhead got into a couples screen porch the first year I moved here and they went running outside. The resident real estate agent here who is from the area and had an office here in a "Model" said to them, "Oh come on now!"
"Come with me," and he took them back inside and grabbed a broom and said, "Here's how we do it in the South , we just swish them back outside the door with a broom!" Lol, the couple is from New Jersey.

All business lunches in Houston are held in a strip club. Many of the dancers provide extras not on the buffet.... Treasures has a buffet every day... and you can get dessert for an extra $50 - 100

i think the best part of houston is...the hotels...cause you get to leave..seriously, the only reason i go to hell, i mean houston, is to go meet with other people who are converging in houston...and then i leave...

i like san antonio ok, people say there is lots to do here, but after 25 years Sea World, Fiesta Texas and the g-d damned River Walk aren't that friggin exciting

ahem, anyway...the scene here is mediocre at best, trying to do something, but torn...the austin scene is better, i personally like DFW a lot better...but i don't work (and i can actually figure out the highways there) and i am into the leather scene and they actually have one there...the only place in texas that does...

chelle

you're killin' me...lol

If I had to pick somewhere in Texas to live, it would be Corpus Christi.  Corpus is similar to where you live now, Popeye.  It's laid back, great beaches, and it's not too big.

Corpus is great I was stationed there BUT its hard for a guy to get laid if he isnt a naval aviator... Its one of two Navy primary flight training locations... The corpus girls are just like the Pensacola Palmetto Bug girls... Looking to land themselves an aviator.... Think "an officer and a gentleman"....

Aviator, I was watching a news program about that and they showed an interview with some Katrina survivors who really liked Houston and said they were going to stay and "never wanted to go back to NOLA."
They said the people were nice and there were plenty of jobs.

To the untrained eye, Texas = big guns, JR Ewing, petrol fields and cowboy hats.
