Actually, highly educated critters in them there doctor places where they teach people to be doctors and such are learning a lot from voodoo cures, along with native american traditional medicine as well as the traditional healing methods of a lot of cultures. Why, there is even a study going on concerning how maggots will clean the dead flesh of a wound.....

Hey, it sounds gross, it probably looks worse than it sounds, and if it was a choice between that or losing an arm or leg, I would tell the doc to grab a saw. As far as the sexiest things, well, if you think that was sexy, wait till you hear me saying stuff about how to deliver fresh bovine produced fertilizer over a neighbor's back yard because he wants to wake up the folks across the road..... IN THE FRIGGING CEMETARY!!!!!

Look, it seems that many want to blame the entire Muslim world for the actions of a few. HOWEVER, if you really want to blame the Muslims for something, then I suggest the following: In mathmatics: Arithmatic, Algebra, Trigonometry, just to name a few... I mean they were the reason we had all those endless hours of homework trying to figure out why x=y etc....

Or better yet...have some sort of secret ops "escort" their asses over the border in exchange for some good Canadians or Mexicans....but then again, these forums would seem so empty....

"The actual relations (if any) of the Arabic and Gr[eek] words cannot be settled; but in European langs. barbaria, Barbarie, Barbary, have from the first been treated as identical with L. barbaria, Byzantine Gr[eek] barbaria land of barbarians. this is also from what alumbrado posted, stating that the arabic word itself may originate from the greek pejorative term. this is one website by a group of amazigh that attempts to explain some of the history. i first became acquainted with the issue through dr. doris gray, who wrote a book called "muslim women on the move: moroccan women and french women of moroccan origin speak out," which i'd recommend to anyone interested in the history of the maghreb, particularly morocco (including some issues to do with amazigh history).

'Berber' was coined in the 19th century, from the Arabic Al-Barbar... by which time 'bararian' had been around for centuries, often applied to the northern Germanic marauding tribes, and many other groups... And the Imazighen people of north Africa were called Libyans, Mashesh, Numidians, etc. before they were called Berbers.. The fact that you wish to use barbarian as a racial epithet, is as much your choice as your embracing of the others you've posted. .
