Thadius, I know.... Classic example the piece of shit that didnt have the sense to divorce her cheating husband who humiliated her in front of the whole country is worth $100,000,000 (probably much of it from crooked land deals) but shes selling T-Shirts to poor people to retire the debt from her failed campaign LOL. Me Me Me Mine Mine Mine Gimme Gimme Gimme.

Hi Mike,

Oh I know darling. I just want to shake him. It is so typical of the attitude of the " I have mine , fuck you " entitled neocons. Makes me nuts.  I am not going to dwell tho it is a gorgeous day and I am going out to the North American Blue Fest in about two hours, yay! It is the biggest blues fest in the country, and a gorgeous backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and 85 degrees?   Hell yes, bring on the ice cold brews and the tunes, I am not thinking about DA anymore [:-]

She'll be be the next sex scandal teacher covered on Fox News with all the salacious details. For fucks sake DA get some empathy would you?

No Mike, I didnt although to be blunt NO I DONT. Nobody is gonna pay my bills but me, and nobody is gonna indulge my bad habits and fund my lifestyle but me...

My point was, and is, that people are indeed "whiny bitches" If some poor bastard is cut down to $210 K a year while working 76 hours a month, well awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww poor boy! Must be tough to live on 200 K working half-time. Yet they still complain and complain heartily. What this guy makes working part time for me, is more than what many make full time - yet by god you woud think he was having his asshole rented out for him by the airline cause they cut his pay to 210K.

However, no Mike I dont give a fuck about anyone but me and those close to me. If I could find a way to legally get your last dollar I would do it, because thats one more in my pocket and one less in yours. Its called Business and a businesses sole function is to generate the maximum return for the stockholders.  As I said elswhere about using the Mexican dayworkers to paint my house instead of a contractor, the money I saved bought me a Waverunner. Whether the painting contractors kids eat or not doesnt matter to me, I got my painting done and a waverunner too! Me Me Me Mine Mine Mine Gimme Gimme Gimme.... [:D]

Aynne beautiful post but like most pointed in this direction, ultimately a waste of time

Wow, I find that incredibly condescending.  I don't need sympathy becauase I don't have an LS, thank you very much.  I work very hard for what I and my family have, and while we may not have as much as the Jones', I am quite content.  Happy, even.  Go figure.

H >:)

lol.  I certainly wasn't bitching.  How am I supposed to know how you present yourself to the world other than how you are presenting here?  I don't think it's a huge leap of logic.  I wasn't picking or complaining, merely trying to point out something that may help.  If, when offline, you come across as intelligent and well-schooled and an exemplary job applicant, then perhaps your inability to find employment is based on the availabillity of jobs in your area or in the field you are seeking in.  I wish you luck finding one.

im srry if i sounded annoyed but it is extremly hard to get anything accomplished when small minded people make assumptions about how one would act in say a job setting by seeing how they act in something that is completly different.. it just.. annoys the hell out of me.. assuming one thing by something so different jsut makes no sence to me. but thank you for explaing your self more clearly.

oh.. and DA.. its people like you who give business owners and suck a bad wrap.. im glad i dont live near u.. really..your.. thought process makes me sick at times.

One of the things I have noticed for some time now, is that it is virtually impossible to discuss the issues without it becoming a partisan battle.  The original OP repeated something Phil Gramm said that he had taken offense to.  The very first response outta da gate, was an insistence that Obama was just as bad, if not worse, than McCain, although the original comment had been made about Gramm, not McCain.  From there, the people who lean to the right politically agreed (exclusively) with Gramm's statement, the people on the left disagreed (exclusively).  My take on this is that the situation is shades of gray, and is not black and white.  It was the same thing with the role of welfare in our society.  Once the talking point had been made about welfare mom's driving cadillacs, the discussion that took place made the assumption that we are a nation of  millions and millions of cadillac driving welfare mom's.   While there may be instances (a small percentage) of people on the welfare roles that take advantage of and abused the system, there were many, many more children in the system who cannot fend for themselves and whose mother's, for a myriad of reasons, cannot adequately provide for them.  But those children became casualties of the partisan war of words as each side refused to allow any understanding of the other's side viewpoint.  The truth generally lies somewhere in the middle of the opinions expressed from each side.  Are there whiners in the country?  Sure there are.  Do we have high expectations in this country of a lifestyle that once was the envy of the world?  Damn right we do!  Are there hard-working, patriotic, people caught up in the steady deterioration of the middle class lifestyle, who are hurting through no fault of their own, who steadily have to lower their expectations for themselves and for their children and grandchildren as a result of a mounting national debt brought about by the poor decisions of the leaders of this country?  Unfortunately, this is not an imaginary circumstance.  This is for real, and for those of you who have done well for yourselves in spite of all of this....congratulations.  But I will say, it is very unflattering to you that you look down your long noses at those who have not experienced the same good fortune as you.  It is a fairytale to think that every citizen of this country could do what you have been able to do and everyone come out on top.  There is only so much room at the top, and you should be thanking your lucky stars that you have made that place yours.  If everyone  could  crowd at the top, ....the top wouldn't be so attractive....now would it.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Well.... i surtainly do ...  not mean to give business owners and suck a bad wrap. Sorry if me affends u. LMFAO

While my thought process may make you sick, it is nonetheless fairly typical of business owners and it should be interperted as realism rather than a bad rap. Any business owner who intends to remain a business owner for any period of time MUST pay attention to the image put forth by their staff, as well as the clarity of the written communications generated via their office.

Sorry if you do not like it, but that is the way it is in "the real world". A business is represented by its employees and if those employees do not fit the expectations of the consumers, then they are not useful to the business. You are "sickened" by the fact that I will crew aircraft only with pilots who meet military standards of grooming and with height / weight proportionte attractive flight attendants? Well sorry but you aren't a client and better that you are sickened by it , than that I sicken my clients to the point of losing them by providing a rag tag crew of people who look like I picked them up at the local homeless shelter. You don't get invoiced so I dont have to meet your exectations.

I am not saying my way is the only way, or that only people with a certain appearance should be employable. Quite the contrary, my clean cut pilots and the grooming standards I set forth in company policy would be wholly inappropriate if I were running a tattoo parlor, a heavy metal bar, or a Harley dealership.

You may not like my approach but it is pretty universal among business owners. Even Walgreens has standards which must be met. You can tell me that I am wrong, evil, mean, discrimantory, closeminded, elitist, stuck up, arrogant or any other pejorative you may opt to use until you are cyanotic. Nonetheless, I am gainfully employed, as are those who work for me, while you are unable to obtain employment. Hence, the problem must not reside with me...

You were given well intentioned constructive criticism to aid your job search. You choose not to take it, so you can continue to do what works so well for you....

Well, I didn't take it so much personally as an individual, but rather as the collective whole of people who may not have as many *things* as others may ... I suppose I should have kept it as a generalization ... that those who do not have as comfortable a lifestyle do not need and would reject sympathy from those who do, and that sympathy may appear condescending to others.  I'm a prideful person, and desirous of no one's sympathy, which may explain response.

I'm laughing, though - I thought L/S referred to your Mercedes model.  Not lifestyle nor Vette.  lol

i understand that DA.. dont be so thick.. what i think is wrong with u, besides being a jack ass in general, is you think that by hireing girls from strips clubs, i believe you mentioned getting girls from there if not my bad, becuz its what ur customers wants is bull.. u do it cuz it makes u feel good to have strippers working for u. u disgust me.. true people (men) will probably be more willing to let u screw them when a girl with a strippers body is waiting on them. i think ur a pig headed  greeded jack ass... people like you is whats wrong with this country.

im not saying apperiance isnt important.. i understand.. but to pass over a person who is qualified but is.. homely for a person who is dumber then a box of hair but has a great body/face is totaly stupid.. it makes no sence at all. i jsut do not get it. people are not naturaly drop dead beautiful.. im srry it happens rarely that any one person has all good features.. and to go against someone jsut becuz they dont fit you vision of perfection is stupid childish and sad.

Well, in another thread, he actually made it clear that Britney was age appropriate for his choice in women.  lol  But aside from that, I think the lyrics 'gimme more' was what he was after ...

On a side note ... Sinatra, I think, is "age-appropriate" for 60yo's, if not older.  But that's just me.  [:)]
