I love the diversity of everyone!

I have been in quite a few different career tracks myself.

-Started out at the local horse racing track doing everything from mucking stalls to excersizing horses and even being able to ride in two races. That was a blast.
-I've cleaned motel rooms, houses, businesses before moving on to management positions in different stores, clothing, grocery, gas and convenience stores.
-I driven combines, tractors and pea hoppers.
-I have chased cows on foot and on horseback.
-I have stepped in on a temporary basis to take over a car rental franchise.
-I have been an airline counter agent, rampy, fueler and general gopherbitch.
-I have co-managed a dog/cat kennel.
-I am right now, assistant manager of a liquor store. (the joke about that is that I don't drink. I tend to bullshit alot when people ask my opinion on the best wine we stock. -grin-)

Currently I'm Billing/Office manager for a chiropractic office.  I do AP/AR and insurance billing and coding.  I recently got my CPC certification  - Certification professional Coder - in medical coding.

Previously I was admin asst. for a property management company, did data entry, IT/database admin/eligibility specialist for an insurance administrator, IT/helpdesk/tech support for the US Post Office, and I worked about 4 years for AOL as a community manager and 5 years for another internet community as coordinator of the Staff Training Program/tech support/community "hosting" staff).

At heart I'm a geek and I should always have a computer in front of me.  Sad, huh?  [8|]

I forgot to mention that time I worked in the fet bar, I answered the phone on occasion, but mostly gave lots of demos to drunk Turkish people.  And beat people.  And got beaten.  And played match maker.  And organised group sex.  And acted as DM.  And cleaned things.  I occasionally served drinks, but management didn't like me behind the bar.

In other news, I was a cleaner in a dental practice too.

OmegaG -> RE: What kind of jobs do subs have? (8/7/2008 5:23:32 PM)

I've earned my own money since I was 9 and got a paper route, since then there was the babysitting, the resturaunt work, the fast food work, the retail work.  I became a bar wench, learned how to tend bar and ended up assistant manager in a night club.  I worked for a book binding company as a temp for a bit as well as for a collections company, I've sold fine jewelry and advertising slots at a radio station.  I've been an office manager and a front desk receptionist,  I've worked in medical offices and University offices for the past 10 years.  Currently I'm using my banked vacation pay from the last job I had before I moved and am looking for something to pay the bills in the new town.

I've got a degree in Poli Sci and asperations of getting a PhD in Archaeology so I can live in a tent and play in the dirt.
