Despite not quite fitting the criteria, I just have to reply. I was first introduced to the idea of BDSM when I was fifteen. Since then I researched and taught myself. If I wanted to, I could claim almost five years "experience". However that is all theoretical. The problem with this question is your underlying assumption that a young teen cannot identify with the lifestyle.

Ok so does 25 years experience actually mean 25 years or did that person do anything else with their life?
I'm perfectly fine with an 18 year olds ability to feel emotion, learn from peers, and adopt codes of behaviour.

i was trained and mentored by the internet, adult-videos and -magazines in my teens. i read my fav stories so many times i almost memorized them. That's how i learned what to look for in a twue Dom/Domme and how to be the purrrfect slave. Does that count?

Because I used a muleskinner whip for driving cattle in my younger days can I claim five years experience with a singletail? <snort>

The beginning of wisdom is knowing the extent of one's ignorance. Moi? I'm knowledgable but not extremely practiced in certain skills. Some skills cross over. i.e. Fancy sailor's knotwork and shibari dovetail together quite well.

Several decades of stifling dominant tendencies as it is not "acceptable" behavior as drilled into me as a child of the 70s.
Almost a decade of studying and reading that started as a "WTF is this shit" reaction to coming home and finding my wife tied up and being spanked silly with a riding crop by one of her lady friends.
