Does anyone think minds were changed as a result of last nights debate.Personally I thought Obama won, though McCain did not have a bad night. This was the Foriegn Policy debate and that is McCain's strong suit....when they start discussing some of their domestic policys it should get real interesting.
The people that tuned in last night ,who like me have already chosen their candidate did not see anything last night ,from either candidate, that would lead them to switch horses...it would be interesting to get the opinion of some who were truly undecided...Hearing Heretic or Sanity declare McCain the winner...or me ,Kittin and others declare Obama the winner, has more to do with how we felt before we sat down than anything that happened at Old Miss...

Now go find the video where McCain spends far longer fiddling around desperately trying to get the bracelet he was wearing where he could see it and explain why he spent all that effort trying to hide exposing the bracelet if he did actually know the man's name.

Perhaps it will be listed right next to McC losing his temper?

Denial is running rampant this morning....

The problem people never mention is that countires like Iran are reacting to US/Israeli aggression and are not the originators of the aggression in the region.

Also people like you conveniently never hear the calls for negotiations the USA/Israel always rejects because it doesn't suit Israel's ambitions for a greater Israel, the main cause of the problem in the whole region.

I love it when people on this site defend these assholes.  Iran; a country where most of us here would find ourselves hanging by the neck from cranes or having a crowd pelt us with rocks for practicing our various "hobbies."  Iran; a country where they gather together all the world's neo-Nazi, lunatic fucktards for a Holocaust denial circle jerk.  Yeah, we should sit down with them and talk.  Maybe Oprah can moderate it for us.  [8|]

I doubt any of the usual CM suspects changed their minds, but the debate may have had an impact on all those undecided voters out there.

Sorry you feel that way, Mike.  I call these debates as I see them, and as someone who has watched and judged a great many debates.  Perhaps you'll recall (or go look up) where I gave Saddleback to Barry?

Neither candidate gave a perfect performance last night, but Obama lost this one.

Totally irrelevent. Iran is a sovereign nation that has had itself fucked over by the British and then the Americans who backed a regime that got rid of all opposition so the only opposition that was left was religious opposition and when it all blows up in its face the fucktards in the Whitehouse blame everyone else for the monster they created in the first place.

While Holocaust denial is not the most tasteful of things its not as bad as the US and lapdog jackbooting its way into someone elses country. While I think about it, the fucktards in the Whitehouse helped create the monster that flew into the WTC.

America has enough fucktards of its own to be going round the world pointing at other fucktards as though America is some benigh power the rest of the world should be thankful for. Perhaps if America had a change of policy and stopped creating the monsters it later condemns, people around the world might take a different view of America.

I think Obama sees what the rest of the world sees when it looks at America which is why he is for a change of emphasis when it comes to dealing with other nations. Perhaps he sees the fucktards in the Whitehouse are totally ignorant of the world beyond America's shores. Perhaps Obama just might know how to solve problems that the blinkered fuktards in the Whitehouse have so often proved clueless about. McCain comes a\cross as just another fucktard louse of capitalist imperialists. Obama would hopefully mean real change in the world, not the bitter vitriolic self serving view that is usually on display in the Whitehouse.

Didn't consider that a cheap shot Sanity, that was me calling it as I see it...your questioning the intelligence of Biden while championing the Hockey Mom(a car wreck if I ever saws one)is laughable.
Please tell me what about this woman makes her qualified for this stage....her ability to think on her feet?

Hmmm, earlier you said we should get over the 1979 hostage crisis.  Maybe Iran should get over the 1953 coup; it's just a thought.  You are absolutely correct that they are a soveriegn nation, but that doesn't mean we are obligated to talk with them.  The world is lucky that we are keeping a muzzle on the Israelis, otherwise Iran would find it's reactors in the same shape Iraq found their's.  I'm pleased to see you enjoying the word, "fucktard."  I'm glad I could introduce it to you.  Enjoy.

The world isn't lucky that you keep the muzzle on the Israel, you bank roll Israel, Israel is your dog, it does US bidding by proxy. The reason extremist Israelis keep alive the idea of greater Israel and hence the conflict in the region is because of US backing. Maybe if the US stopped interfering in the region in a malicious way, Iran would get over 1953 and peace would have a chance.  However, how can it get over 1953 with teh US constantly in its face, threatening it and backing Israeli colonialism in the region?

So, the anecdotes about some stupid shit that happened 35 years ago and how it built your character, like racing cockroaches across the cell, have great import.

I don't see talking about your experience as an appeal to emotion.  When you go to a job interview, you talk about your experience.  Obama doesn't have any to talk about; McCain does.  I don't see his experiences as "stupid shit" either.  [>:]

slaveboy? we all know McCain = Bush.
Bush's approval rating is about 10 these days, he will go down
as one of the worse President's in history.
We should vote for 4 more years of the same shit?

Bush's approval rating is 33%. It is the Democrat-lead Congress that is around 10%.

Ah, I see!

The Republicans in Congress are undoubtedly much more more popular.

Out of the four that are on the major stage, the only person that I think that can stand up to Putin is McCain.  And to me, right now, it is Putin that is the most powerful man on the face of the Earth today.

Russia has 150,000,000 people and en economy the size of London's, it is not a threat to anyone except Georgia.

McCain only seems to be able to stand up through the aid of mortitians.

Putin is just another US bogeyman, the US manufactures them so third rate politicians can pretend to be strong by standing up to them.

And what would you call Iran's stance towards Israel, Tammy?

The problem people never mention is that countries like Iran are reacting to US/Israeli aggression and are not the originators of the aggression in the region.

Also people like you conveniently never hear the calls for negotiations the USA/Israel always rejects because it doesn't suit Israel's ambitions for a greater Israel, the main cause of the problem in the whole region.

MC - The "problem is" that when a specific question is asked there is never a direct answer from the enablers, US citizen self loathers, and foreign US haters.

Closest is something like yours, a distraction attempt; "...people never mention is that countries like Iran are reacting to US/Israeli aggression and are not originators of the aggression in the region."

Here's a challenge - Quote President Ahmadinejad once calling for "negotiations" with Israel and I'll vote for the "great enabler", and NOT so "great debator", Senator Obama. Is is really necessary to quote is stated Iranian policy and goal concerning Israel - AGAIN?

Because negotiations with Israel are pointless, Israel is the US's dog, only talks with the US would be meaningful.

Well then I take it you withdraw your representation that Senator Obama negotiating with Iran over Israeli autonomy would be fruitful and points to Senator Obama's lack of fundamental understanding of the problem.

No further questions...

I know, how dare us give money to the ONLY homeland in the world to the Jewish people.  How dare us help defend people that have had people trying to exterminate them for 2000 years.  How dare us feel a kinsmanship with the only democracy in the whole region.  How dare the Israelis occupy land when they were attacked by a coalition of Arab nations seeking to annihilate it.  We should feel sorry for the "Palestinians" ie. Arabs, because the Arabs have no countries of their own.  I know Israel's neighbors really care about the poor Palestinians, that's why they have allowed Palestinian refugees to live and work in their countries.  [8|]
