I don't have a motherly bone in my body.  Compassion is a different thing altogether, as I'd hope that would be a human trait rather than just one exclusive to the maternal.  As far as making someone cry, I don't really care if he does or not, but it is certainly fun trying.

Loose cannonish even "at times" can get a sub into trouble.  If you're lucky young man a Domme will take you under her wing and lead you away from such trouble....

On Alt.com they have a fetish checklist that has Dacryphilia (Arousal from Tears) on it.  When I was using that site I remember some women checking that and it scared me a little.

Yes I enjoy tears..I think they even have a name for this. I like it because I like knowing that he is willing to be that vulnerable to me .. crying for a man is exposing part of himself that he is conditioned to hide.. I enjoy it because it means I am pushing the right buttons.. I enjoy it because it is another level of intimacy and thusly control. I enjoy it because I like to fix it better and thats a whole different scenario.

What if your sub knows you like tears, and then fakes crying when the tears just don't flow?

Then he should be beaten for deceiving you.  Win-win all 'round.

Sorry - if there's a "post to all" option here, I can't find it.

Right!
Well, that's sort of the variation of answers that I expected. A general "yes, I love it!" for (and I'll say this tentatively) generally sadistic reasons. Fairly loose definition of that word "sadistic", you understand . . . No surprise, either, that certain Dommes announce that there are no motherly bones in their bodies (Oh really? I'll challenge you on that another day ;-))

But I think Rever's point is what says it for me. When I've cried in the past, it's been because I've been upset and (when I was a child - though not since) when I've been in great physical pain. I might bellow and curse (some Dommes may be glad to hear), but I don't cry. MistressKuma says
Pity those individuals (mostly men) who keep things bottled in. Keeping emotions in does not make them go away. Keeping emotions bottled in, like most men do, leads to serious damage to your bodies, minds, and spirits, giving you an earlier death - and she's no doubt right. Yet, I really do strongly believe that it's root-and-branch physically more difficult for men to cry and the biological evidence does seem to be mounting for that. Well, I'm no medic: no doubt there's countering evidence too . . . I
My conclusion: this is something that's on the edge for me. It's both shocking and exciting in equal measure. I think in future I'd sort of search inside myself "during painful times with a Domme" for tears and, if there are any there, try to let them out. It might even be good for me - a good release, as MistressKuma implies.

But, in all, it would be the hell of an achievement for a Domme as well "who has had fun trying" (thank you for that deeply evil comment, Venatrix ;-)) if I were to end up tearful as a result of her "careful encouragement".

I find myself just slightly hoping that the next Domme I get together with hasn't read this thread . . .

I adore men. There is not a "man hating" bone in my body.  I also have no nurture or maternal fetish of any kind.
However, crying his hot.  Crying = authentic vulnerability, especially if it's a man who does not cry easily.
I have a theory that most vanilla women, even, enjoy on some level when they see a man cry, if he's crying out of love, desperation, vulnerability, FOR HER.  Look at how many high school/college-aged girls fuck with a boyfriend's head, play games, dump and un-dump them until they shed tears to say how much they need and love them...it's brave, vulnerable, sweet, emotional. It's raw.

I also find it visually very hot. I love eyes. I love eyelashes. I love WET eyelashes.  If I am fantasizing about a man, I often imagine what his eyes would look like with tears in them - not like crying hysetrically, or pathetic - but sweet, innocent, vulnerable tears.  Nice, dark eyelashes - very, very pretty.

Its hard to get me to shed tears. I can cry,  but I can't shed tears. I will sniff and choke, but very little tears.

Will that be a turn off for doms who enjoy crying?

If so, why?  What does it make you feel?   I read once (I think it was in Nancy Friday's Women on Top ) that it made a Domme feel somewhat 'motherly' because she then had the opportunity of "comforting" him.  I didn't imagine that that would be the usual rationale, but I could be wrong . .
/quote]

That's interesting.  A sub once said I reminded him of the governess he had in England as child who would punish him severely and make him cry, then comfort him.  He really enjoyed that dynamic.  At first I was irritated about being compared to his governess, as I don't consider myself the "motherly" type, but I got over it,  It's certainly no fantasy of mine, LOL.

Personally, making a man cry is not my objective.  I get more out of listening to him moan, watching him writhe, and knowing that he is suffering for me.  If he happens to cry, that's fine.  It doesn't turn me on, but it doesn't turn me off, either.

I agree that tears are a sign of real emotion, and hopefully thereby, a real connection.  Who wouldn't want that?  I want to be emotionally available for my Lady, so tears are part of that connection for me and I accept that.

I love tears! I love the raw emotion, vulnerability, and emotional accessibility they represent. I find scenes that include tears to be very emotionally bonding, and that is why I don't push things to that level when I am playing with a bottom.

God - I'd never thought of that before.  This love of men's tears goes deep in a lot of women, and not only Dommes, doesn't it?  I'm going to have to rethink certain things about relationships past.

As for the rest of what you said there - that was sort of beautiful . . .

Are you saying you don't care if he cries?  That's even worse.  Or better.  Or, both!!

I've got that whole, "Come here and let me take care of you" issue... bleeding and crying? O God, what a turn on that is... but especially if I didn't cause the pain... weird misplaced mothering complex I think. I almost tacklefucked someone else's sub the other day, when he ducked off the stage, all bloody ass and sniffling from a vicious ball kicking... fucking hot. It's rude I suppose... but I never act on it so I suppose it isn't to bad.
