It was a surprise to see this thread brought back up again. Thank you to those who've contributed in the last few days. The WidowSpiders did give me pause for thought - but I can't say that I've come to a firmer conclusion.

Except on one thing. Crying isn't that difficult for me - as I said, I changed my mind on that because I remembered that I'd done it often enough with certain pieces of music, films, and so forth. I think that I, and the WSs, somewhat skated past that because we were all focused primarily on that specific kind crying in submissives which is caused by dominants.

If I were to cry with a dominant, it would be as a result of things happening that had little to do with physical pain and much more to do with emotional pain. And it would never, ever happen unless I were to trust the dominant completely.

I was surprised to see this thread necro'd, too.

In my world, there is no good crying. I never set out to make someone cry, and if they start, I tend to freak out. I know I'm just reacting from my own experience and transferring...

Aw gawd - that reminds me of an incident with a former (nominally) vanilla girlfriend who asked me to 'play the master' one day. I obviously made a pig's ear of it because she was in tears within minutes. I, of course, felt awful.

Tears that I have induced taste good. Both physically and emotionally.

I can't opt in on the mothering aspect. If I make someone cry, I want more tears, not less.

You know, I'm beginning to think it'd be a lot easier if, when I next meet a domina, I just bring a little phial of pepper to flick in my eyes when her back's turned ;-)

I found this thread very interesting and enjoyed reading the different reponses. I am turned on by tears, it is a tremendous sexual turn on for me. I play mostly with malesubs and I don't find most cry from pain. I think for most it takes deep level of trust and connection and for some a feeling of helplessness. For me it is an emotional connection that is almost a surreal/spiritual experience. Tears don't make me stop, I will continue until I reach the point of satiation which can take a while as I am a sadist. But once I am done I do have a strong need to comfort and nurture. Tears are not neccessary in order for me to enjoy a scene and I don't want faked tears. I enjoy whatever is the natural reaction for the sub I am with. Just last night I played with a female sub and did breast bondage/torture and she laughed frequently though I did leave some nice marks on her, that was just her reacation and I enjoyed it. I didn't need her to fake discomfort or beg me to stop. Her telling me "I like that Ma'am" was quite arousing and her request to be allowed to cum during a very intense point was also arousing for me. Actually, I think I could have more fun with her as obviously she is a pain slut and that is a nice quality for a sadist to find.

Tears from punishment are not arousing to me there are totally different emotions that are occurring for me if I am punishing a sub for displeasing me.
