No I jump you for trying to imply into more than what is written (the fear BS comment). Yeah things are different on Gor, but none of us live on that fictional planet. It comes down to things are sometimes different in each person's home, and how each person lives their life. I handle slavery different than most, and it works well for me and those I own. I am sure the way you handle things works well for you and those around you.

I'll agree with all the previous posters who say "choose your master carefully."   I definitely could not live with someone who could make a different choice from myself at this time anyway.

has nothing to do with closed mindedness, has everything to do with what I conceive to be moral and just. Its my damn opinion that even a slave should be able to cast their own ballot without being told how to. of course, you are more than welcome to piss your vote away doing what you're told.

Status: offline 		Actually Tim and I are closer to political and philosophical views than you know. I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal, but the political party I currently support is Libertarian. I left the Repubs back in 1988 when I saw the hijacking by the Non-Cons begin then.

As far as the comparison, it was in relation to your assumption about fear and views on females. If anyone, male or female, submits everything to be a slave, then they submit everything (at least in my household). Those that do not take personal responsibility and as such they need to develope a code and follow it. This includes politics and volunteerism.

I prefer intelligent women because I find they are the ones who look the most beautiful when they're tied up.  Having said that, I am more than happy to give my views about the subject to the slave I own, but I am also confident enough in my own masculinity that I don't need to "make" her vote the way I want her to just to prove how strong I am.

The thing that sickens me most is how few acknowledge the extent of influence wielded over those considered "slaves". There are multiple laws, layers of regulations, & extensive supervision of the registering, campaigning & voting processes in order to mitigate coercion.

Of course, such ethical questions aren't an issue if your preferred version of M/s is simulated.

As someone famous once said, "With great power comes great responsibility". Refusing to exercise it doesn't negate its existence. In fact, even the choices to do nothing bear consequences.

Not recognizing the fine line between deep enslavement & coercion is sickening, reckless & laughable. Taking responsibility for the possible consequences of such a dynamic, & doing the work to adhere to one's own ethical standards, is not something to be dismissed with a squicky shiver & sneer.

Perhaps discussion of why you view one option as 'better than' the other might be a wee bit more productive?

Status: offline 		As a new Mistress, I tried to get him to vote for my candidate four years ago.   He refused. Llooking back on that, I was wrong trying to change his beliefs on what this country stands for.  Freedom. 
This year I will vote for my candidate, Barack Obama, and he will vote for his candidate, John McCain.
We had to stop talking about the election.  I had to stop watching the news and CNN.   It has helped me focus a lot.
