I wonder what your prejudice is based on, since you certainly don't/can't know the man.  Here is the non problem; he is stepping into the role in which the last man was an utter/miserable failure.  The last admin lowered the bar to beyond indecent low levels.  From that low a bar, how can anyone fail?   And respond or not, I made my best educated guess in voting for him, and expect he'll change this nation in a positive way.   Those of you who can't stand him and know he'll be an utter failure, can pretend to be objective and let him get into office first before you decide he's a phuck up...   M

Ya know, I am not sure what I thought it said.....I think I need to go get some coffee and then come back and read the forums. In another thread I though you wanted Palin to join PETA, but it turned out to be the PTA. Maybe coffee and clean my glasses.

Have a great day

How about a little mud wrestling to settle this like grown ups?

Baby oil is much better....it's see through ya know

I'd have to agree.  Baby oil is much nicer and I can think of a whole list of people (well one actually and he has a dick) that I'd rather wrestle.

Sigh ... I voted for him.

Feet of clay to me means that he is human and will make mistakes (perhaps I misued the term?) Do you know any humans who don't err?  Or will he be able to make everyone happy - all the time?  I don't have prejudice against him.  I think he'll do a good job.  I think he's a very good man -  but I believe that some look to him as a messiah who will never disappoint - and that will be very hard to live up to.

Thanks, Toppy - I love The Guardian. It's a very moderate article, but spot on. Just a little restrained. Very British :-) .

Every time a left leaning leader gets elected, people spontaneously party - but this time it's even more a cause for joy, considering the shit we're coming out of...

I never understood why dancing in the streets is a terrible thing.

I think I get it.  ....we are not now "ready" for a black president.

if people on the right want to make a point with me, then stop the globalists. any of them.  that is the destruction of this country.  We can not be a sovereign nation when we produce nothing.     Had we been good at "managing" the world- then it might have worked...but in light that we mismanaged, plundered, and flat out casinoed the planet; we are about to take a fall that all empires eventually take.

Im happy the mindet now changes- but ya know folks we still was robbed by wall street.   when a billion people die of starvation in the next year, the world wont be quite so celebratory.

We sold our azz to the casinos... and as such, the house always wins.

It's a wonderful thing. I missed the big city when the results were called. Really wished I could have joined the laughing and dancing crowds...

I dont mind you standing by your statement, but you are talking about other people, you are saying that it has had no impact on peoples view of america, as someone who isnt american i feel that i can respond that personally i disagree with your generalisation because it impacted on mine.

What I am saying is, the change in people's views are most likely for the wrong reasons.

......the USA can do whatever it wants in terms of domestic policy. That is its right and duty. Where foreigners have a valid cause for concern is foreign policy. The two recent candidates had very clear differences in policy in this regard. McCains policy, while i'm sure it played well to those who don't really understand foreign countries, was naiive and bellicose. Obamas policy was measured and informed.....also compassionate. It also shows some understanding of how the whole world works, not just the bits that America owns. The world can't afford more US military unilateralism, that way leads world war III.
