OK, I may have to DQ myself, because I lived in Europe for a little over a decade-and-a-half, and, while there I have owned/driven many of what Americans consider high-performance cars (in no particular order): BMW 323 - Fastest driven - 128mph BMW 518 - Fastest Driven - 75mph (this was the "family" car. never drove in this one w/o GF and/or her kids in it) BMW 535 - Fastest Driven - 150mph-ish BMW 735 - Fastest Driven - 145mph BMW 2500 - Fastest Driven - 120mph (it was over 20 years old, when I bought it from a salvage yard and nursed it back to health) Alfa Romeo Alfetta (Quadrifoglio) - Fastest Driven - 135 (not to shabby for a N/A 2.0L 16V DOHC 4-banger) Porsche 924 - Fastest Driven - 135 (it was my "commuter-car" at the time) Opel Calibra Turbo - Fastest Driven - 175mph!!!(280kph indicated) 2.0L, 16V, DOHC, Turbo-Charged, 6-speed, AWD 205P.S. wunderkar. Bone-stock! Daily-driver (bought it after the Porsche's engine caught fire). Still the best car I've ever owned. Including my current Audi A8, although the A8 is faster, and the top speed should be roughly equal (I've never puch the 8 to WOT, since it is a U.S.-spec car) based on power/weight calculations. To answer your question, about 175mph, give or take, pretty much any time I wanted, from 1997 - 2000, then I came back to America
