Why don't you simply walk into a synagogue on a Friday night or Saturday morning and attend Shabbat services. Or on a Saturday evening for Havdalah. Or if you want to learn about Judaism start taking classes. Look to see if there is a Florence Melton program in your area and attend a few classes. I'm done with this thread now. As for attending services at a synagogue, it's a good idea. Hwever, I would be afraid something I would do would be awkward. The celebration of the Mass is highly ritualised; I really don't know what the Jewish worship experince is like. When he talked about "marrying up your beliefs with your private interests" that was a metaphoric statement about the melding of beliefs, religion and private life.
