Frankly I think there's a lot to be said for stupid people and idiots, which appear to be the most maligned group here on CM. I think we should be grateful to them, as they provide us with plenty of entertainment on the threads and also send us tons of messages on the other side.

God forbid that we all became intellectual. That would be just boring.

*stellahugs to all the idiots and stupid people, we appreciate you*

In Brave New World, Aldous Huxley argued that the stupid people were actually necessary to do all the grunt work that would bore smart people like us to tears, and without the dummies society would devolve into conflict and chaos.

I mention that just to show that I'm well read because now that the OP has been discredited all the well read chicks in this thread will think I'm hawt!!! Chiming in with brilliant insights like this works lots better than starting a thread asking where to find the smart girls because that's such a transparent and crude tactic the smart girls see right through it.

Oooh! You read Brave New World? You're sooo HAWT!!!

I saw that book once. It looked real smart-like. And the guy who wrote it had an "x" in his name- that's a sure sign of smarty-ness!

Maybe he is simply not a very cunning linguist and hasn't figured that out?

If your talking about here..read the profiles...believe me its not hard to see the thought processes behind what some write and what others copy to their profiles

Umm, yes, but does that mean she has to be smart or well read? I've had wonderful conversations with non-Mensa members, too... I only hook up with women I can have meaningful conversations with, but I cannot recall that I've ever had to go "find" them.

Linguist, tell you what: if you want intellectual conversation, initiate same.
Or, you could post your Mensa number?

Or maybe just sing Monty Python's Philosopher's Song?
