Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) believes Caroline Kennedy is getting softer press treatment in her pursuit of the New York Senate seat than Palin did as the GOP vice presidential nominee because of Kennedy’s social class.

Or perhap's little sarah  just had no idea what the national media was and failed under their pressure.

Personally I thought the press was very easy on her, as peoples coments here reflect

Then there`s the FRESH news that the Alaska state police were told to hold off the future inlaw`s drug arrest.

Palin denies it.

The trooper involved said no,he was told to hold it off till after the election.

A real law and order bunch up there.

Think it's due to people relocating from Illinois?

I have no sympathy for her. The ignorant hillbilly wanted to be at center stage, and here she is. Enjoy the spotlight, Sarah.

She lost the election about 2 months ago, along with McCain. Funny that people are still talking about her though.

It's only the beginning.  When Obama's policies aren't working, watch how quickly the topic will turn to Bush's tenure.

corysub -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 4:59:39 PM)

Lets see now....

On the one hand we have a woman, one of four children of a school teacher.  A woman who earned her own way, taking six years to finish college and, unlike Ted Kennedy, did not hire anyone to take her tests as Uncle Ted did at Haaarrrvarrrd. A woman who took public service as being more than running a tea for the red cross, was elected mayor of her small town of 9,000, took on her own party...fought and defeated a corrupt and powerful republican machine, and went on to become the first woman and the youngest person at 42 ever to be elected Governor of Alaska.  Two years later she was nominated unanimously by the republican party to be their nominee for Vice-President. Throughout the campaign she stood firm in her principles, strong in her faith, and normally would be a poster lady for NOW.....ut oh...she is conservative, very attractive, a mom as well as an executive, and just did not fit the mold of what a true woman should be...in the eyes of NOW.  Sarah was a good sport through the SNL kidding and showed her true grit on the camspaign trail....unfortunately unably not assisted by her running mate...an old nice guy that didn't have a chance in hell....Sarah's back in Alaska and still the jealousy, the fear, the wrath of the neo-libs who just don't understand what a real woman is in the 21st century.

On the other hand, we have Carolyn Kennedy.  I remember those sweet pictures of  Ms. Kennedy as a beautiful young child on her dad's knee in the Oval Office. She was the Shirly Temple of the 1960's, for sure. Hmmm..dunno much since than...sooooo..fast forward and.40 years later I see a middle aged woman who would be Senator from the State of New York.  If not in her life's work, service is in her genes...she is a Kennedy after all...!!

Hmmm...yep...Carolyn KENNEDY is a much more attractive person to serve the public than that dumb hillbilly, as someone described Gov. Palin, who is a lifetime member of the NRA....and could gut a moose and probably a liberal too if given the chance.   (Just kidding....she is much nicer than me and would never gut a lib.)

slvemike4u -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 5:10:06 PM)

NAH Cory she would not gut a lib.......nor would she read a newspaper, position paper or Book, hold an opinion on SC decisions other than Roe V Wade.....nor be able to describe the duties of the very office she sought to hold.

Actually, i think the old nice guy had quite a chance, until he named her as running mate.

She's the one who wants to stay up front and center stage, or at least she  did until a few weeks ago when the latest rash of news stories about her and her trailer trash extended family broke out. She's kept a somewhat lower profile the last few weeks, but it was just last month that she was making public appearances all over the country, giving interviews about her possible candidacy for president in 2012. If she doesn't want the whole country making fun of her, she can just stay the hell home in Alaska and off of our TV screens.

Jesus, these people. Always wanting it both ways. They want to run ignorant, unqualified nutcases for high-profile political offices, and then when the country starts laughing at what a lunatic freak the latest fruitbat is, the republicans start whining about how unfair it is that everyone's talking about the fucking idiot. You guys don't like people making fun of the clowns you run for office, stop selecting your candidates from the bargain bin at Clowns R' Us. Because as long as you keep trotting out these losers, and keeping them in the public eye, we're going to keep laughing.

xxblushesxx -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 5:18:17 PM)

I think Palin and Kennedy are both strong ladies and good role-models for the young ladies of today.
One has experience in politics, and one (you know), needs (you know), public (you know) speaking lessons.
But I don't really understand a lot of the vitriol that is spewed about either one, quite honestly.

SageFemmexx -> RE: Palins excuses begin (1/8/2009 5:35:18 PM)

Palin was condescending not to mention arrogant as hell. Her looks did not make up for her ignorance and flip attitude.

Kennedy is shy, she does not parade herself as the next anything. She'll get over some of her shyness but she has humility, famous name or not.

I am waiting to see what happens but I betcha--Kennedy will be someone we are proud to have in office and Palin....I hope she goes back to moose hunting.

Sage.
