I've tried hard to articulate what it is I'm looking for, but I don't seem to be very successful. I've literally written pages describing both what I'm looking for and how I feel about it. Here's just a few experts from my profile and journal. How does one boil that down?

Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man.
That is what I’m looking for, my last love.
Now don’t think I’m dying or wasting away. This cowboy has a lot of miles left to travel, but I don’t want to travel them alone. I’m looking for a woman who will share those miles with me. Some will be smooth and easy to walk, some will be uphill and require us to hold on to each other as we work our way to the top.
There will be boulders in the road and at times, it may seem like we have lost our way. But, together, we can make this journey.
And when my time comes, I would like to give up my spirit, while laying in the arms of this woman, this woman I will love, honor and trust.

Too often, we let lifestyle or kink overshadow the completeness of a relationship between people. While not denying the power and passion of that side of a relationship, it alone, will leave us with a hunger.
Too many try to fill that hunger by involving more people or chasing the same dream over and over.
But life needs balance. I want the passion along with the quiet love and trust that is actually the truest and strongest part of a relationship.

I’m looking for a strong, complex woman who will take my breath away when I look at her and dazzle me with her intelligence. I want a woman who is smart, philosophical, childlike, mature, wild but needing to be led. I want and need the woman who can submit to the scholar, the cowboy, the gentleman, the barbarian, the child, and the father that is me.

I wish I could say that I would pursue a relationship with you when you are over an hour away, but the truth is, it won't work. Between my ummms, horses and job, I just don't have the time. At this stage in my life, my ummms have first claim on my time, but I would love to share them with the right person.

Maybe I'm just looking for an angel with a dark side that I can carry away?

I'm not 100% sure, quite honestly. I want to meet people, I want to meet a partner, especially. That's why I have my profile still visible instead of hidden. *shrug*

I came for the entertainment value . . .  I am a sadist, I just love this place.   I love the smell of pain in the morning when I drink my coffee and read these forums, it warms my heart.

Nice question you ask here. I'm here because it's nice to B around mind liked people. I love people & I love to communicate, so that cumz in handy.

I've been "perving" profiles for quite awhile now and finally decided to post and "come out," if you will. I can most definitely say that both she and I are looking for someone to cherish. Someone to share the pain and joy with. I've been enjoying the posts here a lot, especially since most of you are all very informed about what makes and doesn't make a (bdsm or vanilla) relationship work. I wasn't sure if this was the right community for me until I started seeing more of that so I'm glad I joined. Maybe she and I will find that extra special person to make our little pet. :P

Speaking as someone that has nt put up a profile yet (but will get round to doing) i really have no expectations in being here at all other that enjoying the viewpoints of others of a similiar ilk.
I dont enjoy the club scene (vanilla or lifestyle) So i simply view this site as a way of keeping in touch wth whats going on out there.
Whilst i guess its possible i could meet someone on here i have found my partners in vanilla surroundings that exhibit kink quite openly and its gone from there.

I joined almost four years ago with the original intention of only finding out information to satisfy my curiosity about that lightbulb realization of my kinky side. I quickly learned that it wouldn't be enough to just read about it. I started meeting dominant men in order to explore all the things in my head, making sure to pick those that I couldn't have any kind of emotional or mental connection with. I wanted no strings attached. I denied to myself over time that those choices left me with a very hollow feeling and subdrop like you wouldn't believe. I was no longer enjoying the journey. So I stopped looking to explore and only remained to have fun here on this side in the forums. And then he had to go and be so likeable in his posts that I perved him. He wrote back and it began.... I only stay for the banter here and no longer have an active profile. And now I get to perv him in the flesh almost daily.

When I was intent on pursuing a relationship, I focused all my energies to the point that the one person I sought, who later would have a monumental effect on my life, remained elusive.

Why am I still on CollarMe?  The same reasons I came here initially.

Curiosity. I like people and value others' opinions on mutual interests.

Friendship. I have some good friends, some very decent acquaintances and I enjoy meeting new people. Given the work that I do, I tend not to meet many people in a social setting especially as I have a lot of personal responsibilities regarding family. It's easier for me to get to know people while I'm sitting at my desk and we can then arrange to meet as and when we can.

I do seek a person/s for 'no strings' play and I am specific on my profile as to requirements. If I do not find casual playmates, that in no way will detract from my relationship with Reality.

The Forums,  which I find thought-provoking and highly entertaining.
