you can't swing a cat without hitting one, but my world isn't Canada, sorrys.

I would like to see these statistics considering I have seen reports of people surviving the fall when their parachute doesn't open.  Yes, common sense would tell us that you would probably die, but statistics show that isn't always the case.

And yes, you are completely missing MoGa's point entirely.  If you are going to come on a thread and spout about the percentage of men and women who like or dislike engaging in BDSM activities, you need to show proof to back up your claim.  I personally have played with several vanilla men who swore they aren't into this lifestyle, but lo and behold, they sure loved spanking, pulling hair and bondage.  I completely disagree with you on a small percentage of people engaging in wiitwd, I have met people and would never have guessed they were into the lifestyle and was completely surprised by their admission, well adjusted people...lawyers, cops, nurses..etc.  If you can't back up what you are trying to say, then you shouldn't say it at all, especially on a forum that has a lot of well adjusted, intelligent, mature, dominant and submissive men and women.

Status: offline 		To the OP...I have a dominant friend who lives in Vancouver as well and though his preference isn't fit, straight men as he is straight himself, he has several slaves and is quite happy with the selection in that city.  Perhaps, you should just keep searching, I have seen a lot of fit, straight subs on this site, not from your area as I don't do my search criteria in Canada, but I am sure that if you look hard enough, one will catch your eye.  Good luck!!

Status: offline 		It honestly seems as if the OP just wants in a sub what she does herself, and I can understand that.  If she kills herself in the gym why would she want a sub who won't get off the couch .    People are typically attracted to people who have SOMETHING in common with themselves. 

I say patience is key.  I didn't go looking for Daddy, and he wasn't looking for me.  We met at the electronics store I work at, and it was nothing to do with the lifestyle.  It just goes to show, you never know who you'll meet or where you'll meet them.  Good Luck OP

Some of the straight single submissive men just aren't mentally healthy. I mean, come on! If they can't see a beautiful Domme lusting after them because they spend so much time at the gym, something ain't right!

Status: offline 		I seem to have the same problem. Of course, I seek a female sub/slave. It is incredibly hard finding someone around my age who is a) serious b) attractive to me c) remotely interested in all the things I am. Unfortunately I think its one of those subjects that younger people aren't comfortable admiting. They settle for vanilla because they don't want to take the risk of being chastised or discovered, which is a great shame because anyone in the community knows its the complete opposite and there is nothing to be worried about (except the creepers, which is understandable). But at the same time, its important to look at it in the eyes of a younger sub. Young subs are somewhat of a commodity, and as such, when they sign up on sites like this, they're constantly hounded by doms that are probably the exact opposite of what most young subs are looking for... someone attractive, near their age. If we're honest, this is a community largely made up of people over 30, I try to be proactive in, being almost an ambassador for the young community. I wish more people my age would realize, and understand the community...

Ms. Onyx, I might suggest, get thee to a co-ed gym and to public non-pro sporting events, where those playing the sports, and their friends, are also socializing, after the games/skiing/swimming/whatever.  And when you go, wear something with just a little bit of kink appeal.  You can co-mingle with other people who are physically active, and telegraph your special interests by your style and demeanor.

Status: offline 		As for the side discussion, about "normal, adjusted" men and women not being interested in male submission and female dominance:  Maybe the OP of those remarks meant to say that people so inclined are in the minority, and if so, that would be undeniably true.  Makes for a smaller dating pool. 

But as most people use the phrase 'normal, well-adjusted' (she only said, "adjust") to mean healthy and, you know, well-adjusted - well adapted socially, emotionally, mentally - it gives the impression that you mean to say no healthy, well-adjusted person would have those impulses and desires, and that's what people are balking at, in this thread.

There's a terrible tangle of "normal," "average," "common," and "healthy, well-adjusted" all being used interchangeably, here.
