• McCain refuses to commit his support for Palin in 2012

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Republican Senator John McCain gave lukewarm support Sunday to a bid for the presidency by Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, his former running mate in the 2008 race for the White House he lost to President Barack Obama.

In an interview with NBC, the Arizona lawmaker said he would "like to see her compete," when asked if he would approve of Palin running for president at some future date.

Pressed further on his likely support of the Alaska governor were she to compete for the White House, McCain was more circumspect.

"Oh, I'd have to see who the candidates are and what the situation is at the time," he said, adding in the same breath his "respect, admiration and love for Sarah and her family."

No, but seriously now... nobody actually believes she could ever run, right? It's impossible, in a rational world. Right? A thing of fantasy for desperate conservative men who can't come to Coulter anymore. Yes?

Please, this train wreck from Alaska could not hold up her end as second banana on a national ticket, where does the idea come from that she is a legitimate candidate for a legitimate(R?) party?
She's a joke...the idea of her running is a really bad joke.

Oh hell kittin, that middle America crowd, they love her....I say let her run. Obama probably sent flowers the next day. Silly Sarah.  You betcha. [;)]

Did you ever see that HBO documentary "Right America, Feeling Wronged".? It is on this month, catch it if you can, it was mindblowing. The Palin-ites are alive and well,  thriving in the south and whatever they keep calling "Gods' country."  The commentary from the boys at the Nascar rally right before the election was illuminating to say that least. By illuminating I mean in a cross burning kind of way. They must still be so pissed. [:D]  Hey bubba, your president is black! Ha ha ha ha ha ..sorry got carried away~

The Republican party needs a new direction, and Palin "Young Earth Theory" just ain't cuttin the cheese.

PS: edited to add: y'all ain't nuffin but a bunch of God hatin commie luvin pinko ass libs.

Romney will be the candidate in 12, as he should have been in 08. Even as the Veep candidate we wouldnt be facing 10 trillion in debt to destroy capitalism and the health care system.

kittinSol -> RE: McCain supports Palin for president ... sort of (3/30/2009 9:39:04 AM)

Is Romney's hair really like that, or does he artificially grease it up? I'll be able to vote, come 2012, so I'm open to all suggestions. *Koff koff*.

He won a lifetime supply of Brylcreem before they went out of business.  He just never got the point of "A LITTLE dab'll do ya"

Health Care system? We have a health care system? Wow. Here's my system, Send check for 687.00 a month to Anthem, with a 10k deduct. For 2 adults, no kids, and no pre-existing. What is this system of which you speak that is being destroyed? If it is the one where my horrific monthly cost is almost a mortgage payment, and we might actually get a better one, destroy away.

you apparently believe that health care is a "right", and not a service that you work for and pay for. I don't.

And if thats what youre paying (and whining about paying) then drop the maternity coverage. You cant afford kids anyway.

kittinSol -> RE: McCain supports Palin for president ... sort of (3/30/2009 9:53:34 AM)

You are wrong: health care is a right, not a privilege. That's where all that lovely lolly that gets sent to the federal government should be used for, not for insane wars and buying WMDs.

Im not wrong. We havent different opinions. And when you're exercising your right to wait 6 months for surgery or sit 4 hours for a check-up you can think about how to fix a system that really has problems.

kittinSol -> RE: McCain supports Palin for president ... sort of (3/30/2009 10:00:32 AM)

Oh, the irony...  Have you ever lived in a country with a working healthcare system?

I live in one now. It works just fine for those who dont think its a "right".

Nice try. I don't have nor do I want children. That is not the issue. Obviously if I can afford to pay the obscene premium I can afford children, unlike so many of my peers that have children and can not afford the coverage. That in this country is a fucking disgrace.  Again I ask you, what system are you talking about?

If thats the premium youre paying without maternity coverage and a 10k deductible then you need to learn to shop for insurance like you do for clothes. You know what system Im talking about...its called a regulated capitalistic market.

The disgrace is that there are people who actually think that health care is a right.

Wrong. I have been paying into this system for over 20 years and it does not work just fine. Speak to any other satisified customers lately? Maybe you pay a far lower premium in Nevada than we do in New England, and of course yay because we all know the republican mantra of I've got mine so fuck you. Compassionate conservatism. This insane system makes people have to choose between food and insurance often times when money is an issue, so then what do you think happens? If the income qualifies, they drop the insurance, pay the bills, then they get "free" health care. Paid for by us. How's that work for you? Or as the nation as a whole? I love that long term thinking. [8|]

Excuse me? How typically condescending. I own my own business, am not part of a group plan, so we pay the highest rates in the state. I have also had the business since 1990, I am well versed in the fine art of capitalsim and am quite a fan.Maine is also one of the highest rated states in the country. Educate yourself. I have done my research.

My business is high end custom homes, I deal with men like you every single day. It is a delight when a woman calls the shots. Oh, and I hate clothes shopping.  Really.
