I am not bi polar.  I never have been.

One form of depression or mental illness is not better nor worse than another.

10 years of effexxor.   When does one ever get off of it?   20 years?   15 years?

When does one get off insulin if one is an insulin-dependent diabetic or off the oral agents if they don't need insulin?

Fluoride is in effexxor.   Fluoride is rat poison.

Floride is also a necessary trace element that has been added to tooth paste.
(btw: they use warfarin as rat poison)

Yes, I am stubborn. Paranoid- maybe a little. Delusional.   I doubt it. I would have to think about that.

Dont forget 30 years ago- we did not have this generation of SSRIs.   So for thousands or years they were not needed.

30 yrs ago they used different medications that in some instances were not as effective or as safe.

By your logic they did not need any of the medications that were not available to us "for thousands of years".
No anti-cancer drugs or anti-biotics.

How is it possible to be depressed to the point of needing meds the entire life?

Because depression is due to your neurochemistry being out of wack.
It is not a weakness or a failing.

Some people need insulin to function, other people need thyroid hormones.
Some people need to take blood pressure medication.

What would even be the point of seeing him again?  I have probably 6 months worth of effexxor in the nightstand. (at 75 mg a day doseage)   And even if I changed my mind and went back to 225, that can not just be done.  I would have to go up to 150 mg, for maybe 2 months, THEN go to 225.

Bi-polar is not a diagnosis of me.

With general DRs I found they like when a patient is informed.
When I had bad pain levels - injuries and court stuff, yeah- depressed and pills were part of the situation.  But 10 years later- the court is over- the pain levels have gotten better.

I could have just said- today, "I am pleased with the teatment" and went on as usual.

The body is supposed to heal itself.  Most the time it does.

Some think SSRIs should not even be treatment.  I think they are useful; then there is a time and a place tho.

Stubborn. Yeah.  Paranoid, slightly, delusional... no. unlikely.

bi-polar is harder to treat.   they used to call it manic-depressive.

extremes.  It is harder to treat then just depression.  Either way- I am not bi-polar and never have been.

PA, I know you're not bi-polar. I just made that reference as background from where I'm coming from, so you know that I'm at least talking from some direct personal experience with the larger issues. I'm really glad you don't seem to be taking this personally, but then again I didn't expect that you would. I don't think i've ever seen you take anything personally here, which is one of the things I admire about you and probably one of the reasons you're so well-liked here. I don't mean to beat up on you, but I'm telling you, if you think low pressure systems cause blackouts and psych meds contain rat poison, there is some element of delusional thinking going on. I won't keep hammering at it, but I really urge you to take that into consideration on some level as you evaluate how reliable your own diagnoses of your circumstances are compared to what the doctors are diagnosing.

And again, good luck with this. You're in a tough spot, and it's hell to have to work through it, but you can do it. Just going to take a little time and a little trust. But you can get through it. Hang in there, and work it through to the end.

Look, I just called HM and asked Him if flouride is rat poison.
He is well-known in the dental/medical community and does public speaking in that same community.
He gets paid to teach, and to give expert witness testimony.
He says flouride is not rat poisoning.

Now, get off of that, and listen to teh Panda (who is burning bright)

He's right. It was predictable.
The only thing you could do right now that would not be predictable, would be for you to go back to your psychiatrist and do everything he tells you to.
You need stabilized.
You don't have to agree, you just have to do it.

If I could, I would email you on the back beat. But I haven't activated that part of my account. Or I deactivated it or whatever. Who remembers. But I surely wish I could help you by talking outside this forum. Bummer. You've really done a good turn for me in the past, and I wish I could be there to go thru this with you. I just dont know how. I dont know how to help you. I can say I'm in your corner.

No DRs.  I am not going for test upon test upon test.

NO DOCTORS.

My grandmother never goes and she is in better shape then I am.

Your grandmother isn't having blackouts.

If you aren't going to follow up with an MD, then what do you care what it may be ?  You'll have a name for a condition that will persist and probaly get worse and perhaps lead to your death or vegatative state. What you are describing doesn't just go away.

Yes, I am a nurse.. wouldn't even take a stab at what may be wrong here. I also avoid MDs and Western Medicine and go to Naturopaths and Alternative MDs.  However, when I woke up one day, so swollen from my feet to my hips that I couldn't even see my kneecaps, they looked like balloons. I knew I needed to see a real live Medical Doctor.

My first dominant had an aversion to MDs also. He developed a seizure disorder after a motorcycle accident. Refused medicine, refused to see MDs. Eventually he had a seizure at a grocery store and was 911'd to the ER. CT Scan showed large holes in his brain, he was told he needed treatment or would die, after a long period of suffering. He refused and I took care of him thru a long ugly death. Took him 1 1/2 year to die. Did he regret his stupidity ? yes, he did. Not because he was dying, but because of the death he chose. He always thought it would be quick and painless, despite my educating him, pleading and screaming.

I'm not telling you you have something that severe, but you never know. Carry on as you will, neglect your health. Your call.

As for sympathy, sorry can't give it. It's like you being on fire and a bucket of water being right beside you and you tell me the water is not purified, you won't use it.

You're a nurse....help me out here...I always stumble for the right words in situations like this....what do you call it when there's a growth in the brain?

What he's describing sounds like some kind of pressure on the brain....a growth....what do you call that?

He needs an MRI in the hayud.

I asked my reg DR for a referral- and  that is in the works.   The new one- I can start off on the right foot. I think it is on the way to being resolved.   Oh- the referral is connected to a more prominent medical facility.  They there would have any tests- frankly if that facility cant find an answer the next step would be Johns Hopkins- something of that caliber.

I am relieved.  (for now)   I think my regular DR understands what I want to do in lessening the effexxor.    He certainly is a good listener, a good bedside manner.   So here is hoping.

Yes, thank you....that's the word I was looking for.

PA Hunk...you need to go have an MRI for a possible tumor in your hayud.

Not uncommon as to blackouts.

(It's either that, or you've been voting for Republicans for longer than is medically recommended).

Well good. I'm glad you have insurance. That's the biggie. The next challenge is always finding who accepts that particular insurance. I'm just relieved you're finding your way. That's a relief. I made a point to come back just to see how your post was going. So,..good. Sounds like you're determined to find out whats going on and that you want to take charge in your own well being. Way to go! xoxoxo Soph

Yes, tumor, lesion or mass are the words I believe you are looking for. Like I said i wouldn't even take a stab at what it is, bcause it fits so many diagnosis. But I strongly believe that there is a neurological component to whatever is going on.

Does "neurological" mean "physical"?

I know there are medical words that mean specific things....often not what you think they mean....

PA Hunk....you need to go in....get scanned....it's all good bud....don't mean anything funky....just go do it.

ko?

(There's a few people here that actually like you....go get a cat scan....all they do is grab a neighborhood tabby and hold him above your hayud....it's all good....if the insurance company doesn't cover the cost of taking a local cat and running him/ (or her) past your hayud....I'll pay).

Cat scan....

(Who votes for CAT scan?????)

Neurological refers to autonomic, central and periphral nervous systems

...sorta of odd.  right now- I should not be contacting  the DR every day.  Altho, I will follow up and follow thru with this.

It floors me the how the meds became a problem.  Here I was tabulating- which bill comes first the electric or the gas bill, and juggle the budget.

They could even ask me to go back to the original DR.  The referral most likely will go for the least effective dose. ...very nice weather here today.
