ORIGINAL: Loki45 Do you think your take has to do with your previously-mentioned bad experiences? Not so much, but I suspect my need to express my perspective does, at least in part. Those experiences broke the delusion that police officers are always right, always honest, are always ‘just doing their job’, but other than just a couple times (not directly involving me as a suspect); my experiences involving police haven’t been unbareable. My ability to detect aggression is part experience and part innate nature. All I have done is pointed out that it is there, and being carried out by both parties. The fact that others appear unable or refuse to see it, bewilders me. I’m not suggesting he loses his badge, is suspended, or even that Grams has a case against him; only that it could have been handled better, and if the situation was handled according to training/policy, then I feel there should be changes. The comparison to a Rottweiler and a miniature poodle was about size and bark; nothing else. I happen to think Rottweiler’s are very majestic animals, while miniature poodles are more apt to be ankle bitters. To be honest, there are a few different reasons the situation is bothering me, but little of it has to do with the officer in question, other than realizing, what I perceive as his inability to keep this particular situation under control, mirrors my own inability at times. A bigger issue is the reporting; its stacked. I had to strain to hear what was being said, because the reporter is running her mouth during some of the crucial moments. Also, I’m rather annoyed that they cut the part of the tape where, most likely, the real cause of her being tazered began, and then expecting me to believe because the women says it’s so. I just want to scream at the monitor “Shut the fuck up bitch, I don’t need you to tell me what I should think!” And then there’s this… quote:
"What.....we've got here....is.....failure....to communicate. Some... you just can't reach. So, you get what we had here last week. Which is the way she wants it. Well....she GETS it. I don't like it anymore than you do." It wasn’t failure to communicate, it was failure on her behalf to obey, and the statement above implies ‘she made him do it’. If the excuse is acceptable for police officers, why not everyone else? Kim
