Letterman didn't know her daughter was at a Yankees game?? Pretty good guess then. I wonder if it would be different if Glenn Beck would have told the same joke about Michele Obama and one of her daughters?

Folks, similar or even worse jokes were made by other night show hosts; see the following article: http://politicalhumor.about.com/b/2009/06/12/top-10-late-night-jokes-about-bristol-palin.htm

lol... I just can't help laughing at threads like this.  Reminds me of a gaggle of sniping high school girls... getting their jollies out of targeting the "unpopular" girl in class.

If you read the citation, It is no wonder she sees them as frivilous.   They disappear before they get to court for lack of something or another, although they are still trying to figure out some of them.   LOL    Oh well, Where their is smoke their is fire, unless it is a liberal.  LOL

MarsBonfire -> RE: America's favorite drama queen in the news again (6/22/2009 9:47:58 PM)

Funny, isn't it? Back when the GOP talking heads were ripping on Chelsea Clinton, this kind of shit was all okay. It was considered the height of comedy by the slope headed republican talking heads to insult and frag down the ego of an awkward teenage girl. To call her ugly, a dog, and worse.

Oh, but if one late night talk show host infers that one of the Palin girls (the one who got knocked up by that redneck kid they tried to railroad during the election) THEN the fucking world is about to end!

Well, guess what? Good ol' douche Dave apologized. He did the above board thing when his sponsors threatened to pull out. At least he stood up for the right of someone to tell a joke about a bunch of Alaskan grifters. So, the GOP wins this one. We all stand on notice: we are forbidden to tell jokes about unwed mothers who are daughters of popular politicans. Right. Got it.

So the GOP will be issuing their offical apology to Chelsea... when exactly?

MarsBonfire -> RE: America's favorite drama queen in the news again (6/22/2009 9:51:36 PM)

CORRECTION: In the previous post, the second sentance grouping was meant to read, "if one late night comic infers that one of the Palin girls might dress just a little bit slutty..."

The author regrets his omission.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I thought McCain did apologize. It was a horrible joke if I remember correctly.

Don't you post pictures from the future of my dearly beloved (ha ha) ex!  She can't help looking like that as she wists the knife into the next person whom mistakenly falls for her "but I've been through my therapy and Doctor so and so says I have Healthy attachment issues now...")

No. Actually this is former members of the chess and IT club getting their jollies out of targetting the popular girl in class some years after high school, when they are amazed to find her now trying to pass herself off as someone other than an airhead and yet with every word confirms herself in that role to the day.

*shrugs*  Rather pathetic and immature either way, don't you think?

Mezrem -> RE: America's favorite drama queen in the news again (6/23/2009 6:42:08 AM)

Palin has to take any lumps she gets, she asked to be in the spot light. Her kids though should be off limits. I for one found it wrong on the few instances that children like Chelsea Clinton where used as the butt of jokes. I would say when/if the Palin children began to step into the light to campaign for thier mother they are valid targets. Before then why don't we leave the kids of these people out of it? It's not ok for kids no matter the political stripe of thier parents.

Then let her shut up and go back to the circus where she belongs. Why do you want her to have it both ways? She and the GOP made a deliberate decision to put her out front and center, one of the new voices of the party. She's made a considerable effort to keep herself in the public eye, starting a political action committee, making numerous appearances on behalf of various causes and candidates, booking speaking engagements all over the country, hinting at running for president in 2012 - she's working overtime at getting people to talk about her as often as possible, and the GOP is working just as hard at keeping her on the front page as she is.

So. OK. It's working. We're talking about her. What do you want us to do? Seriously - what would you like to see from us? That we just pretend not to notice? That everyone who doesn't like her just ignore her? Only people who like her are supposed to notice when she makes the news?

Fuck her. She made her bed, let her lie in it. Or is that "lay in it"? Well, either way. As long as she insists on riding down the middle of the street on a bicycle wearing a clown suit, we're going to keep on pointing and laughing. And thanking the GOP for the entertainment.

I'd still paddle and Greek Palin raw and swollen every day for a week given the chance.

Then again I've been hot for Tina Fey since she began on SNL.

Superiority snarking at other peoples snarks is a bit like pot calling the kettle black.

I'm assuming that wasn't directed at me since I was off in my own little perverted assfiend world for a moment...

If she is as disliked and unpopular as is claimed, then that might not be a bad idea.  Politicians without support are no threat to anyone.

But hey... how you wish to be perceived is up to you.

BTW, it's "lie".

How about an anti snark?

I don't want her to go away til her arse is claret red and her asshole looks like an oozing Hostess Donut Gem.

There, no snark, and a valid reason for Palin to stick around.

Probably the ONLY reason.
