Angie is curled up on the back of the sofa watching the kids go to school. She is recovering from her bout of ARF (lol) really nicely. She is eating like crazy, is sociable, and her coat has returned to its natural glossy state. The vet and staff are just thrilled with her progress. It sounds like they were as worried as we were.

What good news! How fortunate you and Angie are. It is amazing at times how well some cats rally from ARF. May she excel at recovering.

That's good news about Angie. As frustrating as it is that it has affected her at a young age, it probably helped her bounce back from it.

Ruby has been so talkative this past week. She meows at me to wake up in the morning and spends 30 mins-1 hour snuggling with me till I get up.

She has also decided the only appropriate water source in the house is the bathroom taps. So, like the doting Mum I am, I turn on the tap half a dozen times a day so she can drink & play with it.

Misty has been meowing her head off all night while I make caramel apple bars. She loves the smell of butter, which is used in the crust. Unfortunately, butter is not a good thing for a kitty to ingest, so she isn't getting any. I will be sure to keep the bars in a secure, cat-proof location while they cool. A few years back I lost a pineapple upside down cake because one of the cats got up on the counter and licked the top of the cake while it was cooling.

Misty was quite a brat yesterday. I got home early and thought I'd take a half hour nap before heading out to a play party last night. Misty had a different idea though. She was in a playful mood. After I lay down, she first was rubbing against my feet, then started biting them. I put the covers over my feet. Not to be deterred, she got under the covers to continue her little game. I never did get that nap.

Ruby is in her bed. Why's that strange? Because we bought this for her, 4 months ago, when she got here. She has ignored it's existence completely till I put a reuseable shopping bag in it. NOW it's worthy of resting in.

WOW RS!! That is one big kitty! You could fit a couple of Angelinas into that one.

Speaking of Angelina, she is prowling around here somewhere. She has become the nighttime snuggler extrordinaire lately. Snuggling. All. Night. Long. She is definitely feeling better.

You have to be fast around here....

I did my grocery shopping, then set the bags on the floor so that I could visit the restroom. When I came out, Angel had located the bag with the package of raw chicken and was ready to make off with it. Fortunately, I caught her just in time.

So yesterday, as I was doing what felt like the 127th load of laundry, I had just finished folding the last bit and took the basket into the bedroom. Put stuff away, and when I returned to the machine (they are the apartment style top and bottom set) what do I see?

a white and orange head peeking at me from the bottom edge of the dryers barrell. YEs folks, I had left the door open, and naturally, Cashie had to check it out (so WARM!!).

I carefully walked away to get the camera, and when I tried to get the pic, the damn thing decided to quit working. DAMMIT.

it was so cute! Yanno when they're in that stealth mode: crouched down, ears flattened, eyes all huge? All I could see of him at first was HUGE eyes and the tips of his ears..LOL

I got up at 5:30 to visit the restroom and fed Misty then, thinking she might let me sleep in. However, she woke me up at 8 A.M. anyway, the little twerp.
