unfortunately my jinx has been missing for nearly a month and i'm afraid she may never return. she hasn't been seen since my ex husband was here in my house by himself while I took the kids to the dentist. she was always skittish around other people. we live in a rural area with hawks and i'm afraid something happened. she hasn't been seen anywhere. I will hold out hope, we have a cat person in the neighborhood, so maybe she's vacationing with him/her. don't know if he lives here or just goes around feeding the cats, nobody is sure. I look every day, but so far no luck.

sandy and short are both out in the yard, lounging in the sun. they slip in and out with the good weather. sandy has taken to sleeping with me and the dogs at night. there's a magical process that turns cats and Chihuahuas into lions and great danes in the middle of the night, displacing me from my queen size bed. if I could extract that little bit of magic I could feed the world! amazing how that happens!

LadyRedRose, so sorry to hear about Jinx. I hope she returns safely. Misty was out for one month 10 years ago. My ex-sub accidentally left the door open and she snuck out. I'm in a suburban area and posted fliers all over the place. Didn't hear anything for two weeks, then started getting phone calls from a few blocks away. She eventually found her way back home. I think someone may have had her inside their house for the first couple weeks and then they either let her out or she got out. It is so nerve-wracking when they are missing! I was just beside myself.

Angel, on the other hand, is an indoor/outdoor cat. This morning I was headed to the post office for a few minutes and she slipped out the door with me. I was only gone about 15 minutes, but when I came home, she was crying as if I had abandoned her for a week. Go figure!

Angel is going to have to become much more decisive about coming in the house. She likes to sit on the door step and think about whether she wants to come in or not. However, West Nile season is upon us and that is a very bad idea.

Weenie's loving me up more than usual, and asking the same in return. I got home last night after a 13 day/night dog sitting job, during which I came home 4 times to make sure she had enough food/water. We're both glad I'm home.

one of my birmans just snored pretty loud (when i wanted to figure out who it was it stopped but as curry and pepper lie on our bed i know it wasnt them) and I thought "wow...they snore louder than my bf (who didnt snore at all at that moment)...then somehow they swapped...the cat stopped and he snored a lil bit...

I've seen that before, but never with the kitty commentary, which makes it 10 times better. Thanks!

Hilarious! Thanks for posting. I had not seen it before. Lily used to do that.

Yes, adding the commentary just made it perfect! The british accent was the perfect tone for a cat. I've watched it twice yoday, and each time I can't help but laugh out loud.

Boo figured out how to turn on my printer, and I came home once to 20 perfect copies of my birth certificate on the floor. I'd made a copy for an application packet and forgot to a) take it off the printer, and b) unplug said printer. Boo used to have a field day just catching the paper as it came out of the printer slot. I could see it if it happened only once or twice, because cats will walk wherever they want, but I watched him one day...he actually went to the printer, looked at it and hit the exact button to turn it on and make a copy....it was two different steps. Again, it sucks having cats that are too smart for my own good!

When Lily was alive she was fascinated by my printer, but I'm fortunate she never learned what button to press to make it print. When I worked from home, she was my "office pest", or should I say "office cat." The highlight of her day was when I printed something. She would hurry to the printer and try to grab whatever I printed in her mouth and run off with it before I got to it. The cat in the video reminded me of her because she would tap the printer tray impatiently with her paw at times, frustrated because nothing was printing. It's a good thing she never learned what button to push because she probably would have worn out the printer from printing things all the time.

My current two cats have no interest in the printer whatsoever.

Cats! I was in the middle of a high-concentration task on the computer. Angel was insistently rubbing against my leg, wanting to go out. I got up and let her out. It's a beautiful, sunny day in the 80's which you would think would be a cat's dream come true. After a grand total of 2 minutes, she interrupted my task again, wailing loudly to be let back in. I checked to see if the bothersome boyfriend was in the yard and he wasn't, so I don't know why she was in such a big hurry to come back in when it's so beautiful outside.

I'm so sorry to hear this...Spicy is also missing since 11 months now...just hope that -if he is alive- that he found a great home...on other side there were quite a few cats gone missing at that time, so he can also have left me unvoluntarily...

The rest 4 of my gang are fine, lying with me in my bed

Yeah, something like that, but I've stopped playing her game today. She did it again this morning. Interrupted me while I was on the computer with insistent rubbing against my leg (her sign she wants out). So I get up and let her out. Two minutes later, loud wailing to come back in. Then when I opened the door, she sat there and look undecided for about 30 seconds then grudgingly came back in. She's been back in for about three minutes, and is rubbing against my leg again to go back out, but it ain't happening. A bored kitty with too much time on her hands that wants to play games with Mommy :).

My little buddy Highway sleeps in the yard now-for the last decade or so. Had him 17 years, didn't want him at first, but after the first night with him sleeping with his little nose in my ear, he became mine. I still miss the little guy...

It's been really hot here during the day, so I tried letting the kittehs out after dark a few nights ago. Apparently, there is a difference between night and day.....KB and Squeaks wouldn't even go out the door, Boo, Smooch and Bitty were sort of hanging around the door. Until I brought a chair out to sit with them.....they ran back into the room like the devil was hot on their tail. Bitty was freaking out trying to get free from his harness, the other two were cowering under a chair. Huge fail......go figure!

Looks like it's window time only for a while. It's so hot here that they don't really want to go outside during the day either. I don't know why they won't go out in the dark, it's the same walkway, a lot quieter at night, but just dark. Cats!
