It just dawned on me why Angel probably lost a pound over the last year...

I saw her on my neighbor's porch, looking longingly for her friend who used to give her liberal handouts of table scraps. The poor lady has been stricken by cancer and has not lived in her house for the last several months. Angel hasn't been getting liberal handouts of table scraps anymore. At home, all she gets are some "tidbits," which are pieces the size of the fingernail on my little finger, as I don't think human food is an ideal diet for cats and only dole it out in small quantities as a treat. Angel would go next door and despite her size, convince my neighbor that she needed to be fed.

Angel just had her annual physical exam and shots at the vets and is so relieved to be home again. She somehow managed to lose a pound in the last year, which is a good thing, bringing her down to "only" 12.5 lb., LOL.

Everyone is at my my feet or side as a storm is coming. Big papa has been purting since my journal entry, maybe cats can read? Lol. I think he just likes knowing the tech will be warm for him when he sits his fat dupa on it.

The only time my kitties stand on their hind paws is when I am playing with them with their feather on the stick toy. They like to stand on their hind paws and bat at the feather with their front paws. I rarely see them standing ont their hind paws at any other time.

The kitty girls and I enjoyed a nice nap on this rainy Sunday afternoon. But I had to get up and do chores while they continue snoozing. What's wrong with this picture, LOL.

Angel left me a "gift" in a new location today. Usually, when she kills geckos, she leaves them on the porch. I have a detached garage and today she placed one of the murdered geckos right by the door I enter to get into the garage. Thankfully I saw it before stepping on it.

Viktor is chasing a fly around the living room. It's so darn cute, and cracking me up.

Angel is lying happily atop the dark blue cloth suitcase that she knocked over for the second time in my closet. I will need to spend a considerable amount of time getting white fur off that suitcase before my next trip.

But Mystic, she just wants to make sure you don't forget her o your trip!

I actually had a bag that they all found, the handle was ripped and I was going to try to fix it, but I pushed it back in the closet thinking it was hidden well.....yeah, right.....I pulled it out the other day, and it was so coated iwth cat hair that there was no way I'd ever get it off. Needless to say, it's in the trash. Which sux, cuz it was a really nice bag. I just can't believe the leather handles gave out on it after only a few months of use. Just to and from work.

Well, if my next trip is where I think it's going to be (to visit my siter), I don't think she'll want to go, LOL. She hates other animals and my sister has 3 cats and 2 dogs!

Cats! I came home and tried to coax Angel to come in for the evening, but she blew me off. Two minutes laters, she is at the door wailing at the top of her lungs to come in! My neighbor's outdoor cat wasn't too impressive tonight, either. He ran out right in front of my car as I was coming home, forcing me to brake suddenly. The salvation of these animals is that the speed limit is 20 MPH inside our townhome community.

She Of the Long Claws (recently clipped) is kittyloafing on the floor.

His Imperial Fluffy Whiteness is draped over the cat tree, dangling over in multiple places.

Though apparently SOTLC noticed I was typing about her and is now tickling me with her tail.

Angel was such a good kitty last night. I had insomnia and she came and put her little head on my shoulder and purred. It was very soothing and helped me get to sleep.

I love when Viktor does that. Sometimes he puts his nose right in my ear and purrs.

Right now he's stalking something behind a shelving unit in my living room. I'm really hoping it's something small lol.

Thanks for sharing that link, Rule. I've read a lot about cat behavior and that link was pretty consistent with what I've read. There are a lot of unknowns out there when it comes to kitties.

Interesting link.

My cats are divided on the belly rubbing issue. When Angel rolls over and exposes her belly, she seems to enjoy some light stroking on her tummy. Misty, on the other hand, is in line with what the link says. She may expose her tummy, but if you try to pet her there, you will get a warning nip to let you know it's not appreciated.
