Angel is too funny. She has a full bowl of dry food that she could easily eat from. Instead, she found the bag of food I refill her food dish from. There's a 2-3 inch opening in the bag that she sticks her paw into, pulls out a few pellets of food at a time, and eats them. Maybe it's more fun that way, thought certainly not more efficient, LOL.

Please send prayers and positive thoughts for the safe return of my sister's cat, Pico, in Phoenix, AZ. He got out accidently and has been missing for over 36 hours. She is beside herself.

Thank you, NV! My sister was already stressed due to her partner having breast cancer surgery next week, and now this. I have never met Pico, but she tells me he is a very sweet boy.

Tough week. I hope for everyone's sake he comes home safe and sound. It's a crazy world out there for an indoor kitty.

On a good note, I took Viktor in for a follow up appointment today and he has a clean bill of health. Other than needing to lose 3 pounds, he's doing well. Probably at about 90% energy level now. Vet said she'd call me in a week to check in. I love that place.

Well, I haven't been here lately, catching up on everyone's kittehs. Glad to hear Viktor is doing better, instead of fighting with him with his pills, can you mash them up and put it in his food? I started KB on thyroid meds, and crush it up in a tiny amount of food so he will eat it.

Mystic, I recently found out NOT to give up hope on a lost kitty. 2 weeks ago, I came home to find my hotel room door wide open (at 6am yet) and 4 kitties inside the doorway....problem is, I have 5. KB disappeared for 2 weeks. I had given up hope that he was going to come back, w/his thyroid problem, he eats every 2-3 hours, it's god-awful hot and there have been terrible storms, then there are hawks and vultures, dogs, cars......all the dangers of the great outdoors. Last week, I was almost asleep when I remembered I needed to feed the little outdoor guys, so I got up and went outside to call them. I male a "sssss=ssss" sounds, and when I did that, KB hollered at me. He was on the 1st floor, heading my way. He was starved, and lost even more weight, he's almost skeletal, but he's home safe and sound. Keep the faith. I'm adding my thoughts for a speedy return of the little lost guy.

Cats are smart, as you well know.....KB was probably the one who opened the room door, there was no break in, my desktop and purse were right where I left them. It didn't catch completely closed, he or Bitty scratched at the door until it was open. What surprised me that Bitty and Smooch were still here......both of them are my sneaky boys!

Good to see you, soul2share. Thankfully he's done with the meds now. I couldn't crush them up or put them in pill pockets because they had such a bitter, metallic taste they'd make him foam/salivate like crazy, where he'd just sit there hanging his head with this massive "beard" of foamy saliva coming out of his mouth (that happened whenever he'd inadvertently bite on a pill I popped into him). It was so bitter the vet said he probably wouldn't touch any food it was in as there was no way to disguise it. Too bad it didn't come in liquid form.

Fortunately we're done with all that now.

So glad KB is home!

soul2share: So glad to hear of KB's safe return! I actually had something similar happen with Misty several years ago. An ex-sub left the door open accidentally. Misty slipped out and was gone for one month before I got her back. I'll let my sister know about KB's return after two weeks so she will know that more than one cat has shown up after being gone for a while. She has put up fliers and is searching her neighborhood. It's a shame this had to happen at an already difficult time for her.

I think my cat is going to have kitties! She is something else, so one litter, then a vet appt. She climbed the fence regularly and two toms were hanging around, but she is so mean, I wonder if they got the job done.

Mystic, it could be that someone took her kitty in, hopefully, there will be results from the flyers. Just tell her not to give up hope. Tell her to contact Maricopa CO Animal Control and let them know if the kitty shows up anywhere. They will contact her if she does. They'd much rather return one to his/her home than not.

NV, glad to know that the pills are done. I know of that beard of which you speak....every time I put the flea stuff on Squeaks, she licks it and then sits there salivating madly. Ay least the meds I give KB don't seem to smell or taste, because he's eating his food everytime. That's god, because I've done the "try to give the pill to the cat" game, and I lose every time!

The little black kitten the got tangled up with a truck seems to be doing better. I can't get close to him to really see, but he's running a little better. I fed him under the stairs earlier so he wouldn't have to climb them, but he came up anyway to get dome more food. I haven't seen the little white one that showed up a week ago....I think she's pregnant, and she's barely past kitten age herself. I worry that the kittens won't make it, or the litter will kill her. I don't know where they hide during the day, because if I did, the manager here has a trap we can out down.

I have no real idea where these guys are coming from. There is a neighborhood behind us, sso I'm sure that is contributing to the issue, but I really wish these people would fix their cats! There are about 10 of them that some of us guests and the management feed. The staff have actually paid to spay as many of them as they can catch. At least they know where to come to at least get a meal. It just breaks my heart tho. Not to mention my budget. But I can't stand to think that someone is going hungry.

My cat, Alley, is doing her very best to get in my way whilst I build my new computer. It isn't bad enough that she uses my computer and goes on eBay when I am not here and drains my bank account. Anyone need about 5000 stuffed rattle mice?

That's what I was thinking, too. I am encouraging her to keep the faith. She has contacted Maricopa CO Animal Control so that they will let her know if Pico shows up anywhere. I know she really misses Pico.

Awww, she's just trying to "help" LOL. My kitties haven't ordered anything off eBay, but they have sent instant messages to my friends when I have left the IM box open on my computer. They ran across the keyboard hitting random keys, then hit the enter key as they jumped down, sending off a nonsensical message.
