It sounds like the teacher is black, she sounds black the way the teacher talks.

Statements like this are generally considered to be racist.  Just an FYI

FR

This thread brings to mind a favorite story. King Oscar II of Sweden was visiting a school, and he asked the pupils to name the greatest kings of Sweden. The students swiftly named several Swedish heroes.

The teacher then whispered to one of the boys. He quickly added, "And King Oscar."

"Really?" asked the king. "And what has King Oscar done that's so remarkable."

"I--I--I don't know," the boy answered.

"That's all right, my boy," said the king. "Neither do I."

IF this was for Black History Month, would it still be inappropriate?

Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm,

Yeah, Tazzy, it would.

Lucylastic -> RE: Indoctrination centers (9/24/2009 7:10:10 PM)

Spinner, apropos of nothing in particular, I just want to give you a huge grin and a cuddle, thankyou for making my day

Tazzy I agree with the timing of the vid(february=black history month) by the clothing.

When I was six I had to pledge allegiance to a road safety conscious squirrel..... maybe that explains more than it should!!!

I started to post, but thought better of it.  This is a ridiculous thread.

Well, there are some around here who would think that is fine..as long as it wasn't a democratic squirrel.

DVsFox -> RE: Indoctrination centers (9/24/2009 7:15:20 PM)

I think it was a stupid thing to do and that the teacher who planned it should be reprimanded.  That being said, I didn't like it when liberals constantly compared Bush to Hitler a few years ago and I think it's just as tasteless to compare Obama to Hitler today.  Both instances are offensive and, to a degree, ignorant.  Not everybody you disagree with is Adolf Hitler.  I didn't like the idea of him giving the speech a few weeks back to school children, but even that doesn't make him some evil mastermind.  I don't like the guy's politics, but he has to do a lot more to become a modern day Adolf Hitler in my eyes.

Just my two cents,
DV's Fox

tazzygirl -> RE: Indoctrination centers (9/24/2009 7:21:08 PM)

The politics of it will never die. I just dont see the need to scream about a group of kids singing a song about the first Black President. I am surprised that months later it has become news. It doesnt surprise me that its coming to the boards now. It does surprise me that no one else noted the dates were off. Then again, it doesnt, because most will go with any ole story and not look for things like this as long as its sensational enough to cause a stir.

You can tell the republican squirrels because they have no nuts.

WHY do you give me such opportunities? You know I am not going to be able to resist

(and before I get a ton of angry posts, yes, I am joking. I do not actually believe that there is a difference between democratic and republican genitalia)

Lighten up, Kit...if the shoe had been on the other foot, I would expect it to be said by a republican. Humor is more important that political party.

On that note I heard something that made me chuckle today...

What is the difference betweend God and Obama?

God doesn't believe he is Obama.

I like it. Welcome to the party!

It is not enough to obey Big Brother. You must love Big Brother.

Concerning Abraham Lincoln and slavery: I’ve always thought it a little unfair to criticize Lincoln for making saving the Union his first priority. Saving the Union was a prerequisite to ending slavery. If he didn’t save the Union – if the southern States succeeded in establishing their independence – then the Union would no longer have the political authority to end slavery.

Really? Have you ever heard of an instance where kindergarten children were forced to memorize and sing a song about any other sitting president and praise any other president as some kind of Messiah?

It's just wrong to involve children of that age in forced support of something they have no comprehension of. Especially without their parents (apparently) knowing anything about it until months after the fact.

The video was finally posted to YouTube two days before Barack Hussein Obama decided to make his initially ill-conceived speech to school kids. The initial plan for Barack Hussein Obama was not just to make a speech, but to have children write letters (essays) to themselves outlining how they could best SERVE Barack Hussein Obama. What about the parents who don't approve of Barack Hussein Obama and his policies?

Why should those parents have their children forced to write letters (essays) stating that how they could SERVE Barack Hussein Obama? Thankfully, the protests were loud enough and in such great numbers that Barack Hussein Obama was forced to change his initial intent of demanding that school's curriculum include lessons in writing those letters (essays) in support of him by children too young to understand they were going to be manipulated.

After the public outcry over THAT, Barack Hussein Obama, withdrew his plans to have young children write letters (essays) as to how they could best serve HIM and support him.

Talk about bullshit? This is it. Never in the history of the U.S. has there been any type of BS like this. Never in the history of the U.S. has this type of crap been perpetrated with any other sitting president. Never in the history of the U.S. have 5 - 8 year old children been taught to sing propaganda in idolation of someone who hadn't even been in office for two months before the school they attended allowed someone on staff to brainwash kids who don't even know when to change their underwear until someone tells them to.

Obama supporters are clearly out of control and have no respect or any sense of propriety toward these kids or what their parents might want. From the articles I've read, most parents were outraged when they found out their children had been coached into propaganda for Barack Hussein Obama.

And I shall from this point forward refer to the sitting president as 'Barack Hussein Obama'. That was the tagline in the little shenanigans that started this thread. It's fitting in my mind that he is forever known as Barack Hussein Obama.

I'm not sure a few overzealous songs in NJ have quite turned us into Oceania yet.

MichiganHeadmast -> RE: Indoctrination centers (9/24/2009 8:02:56 PM)

Spinner, history is replete with dictators who had just "seven years to go" until they were term-limited out.  But with sufficient indoctrination of kids of all ages, and massive government largess strategically directed to potential supporters, these dictators somehow managed to get past those pesky term limits.
