ORIGINAL: Moloch Is that why DHS labeled Liberitarians and Ron Paul supporters as right wing terrorists? Is that why people getting pulled over for having a Gadsden Flag sticker on their car. Once again half truths and hysteria replace reason and accuracy. The DHS did not lable libertarians nor Ron Paul supporters as right wing terrorists. They did say that there was a fringe group that tended to identify with those principals who might be sources of possible violence. Of course, people who carry loaded firearms to political demonstrations or speak of how we need a violent revolution to "take the country back" are certainly worth the attention of a department who's job is discovering terrorists threats before another Timothy McVey decides to exercise his free speech rights by blowing up a skyscraper. It is convenient for those on the right who wish to portray themselves as victims, however, to shout "They're calling us all terrorists! They're coming to get us!" That they are allowed to do so mererly reinforces my point that their first amendment rights are being taken away. They have the freedom to tell lies and are using it at every turn. As for the pulling over of people for nothing more than having a Gadsen flag sticker on their car, I have heard nothing about this and would invite some citation from any reasonably reputable news source. In this case, I would even accept Fox News in that category. Once again, there is nothing being done to silence conservative speech or thought. The constant plaint that there is is either a political tactic, a case of extreme paranoia or an out and out lie. Sorry, it is not half-truth or hysteria. http://www.infowars.com/images/scan0023.jpg This is taken strait from DHS internal memo. I dont have any news lings about the man getting pulled over fog gadsden flag sticker, it was in the news a year ago it happened in Luisiana. Here is the report http://www.scribd.com/doc/13290698/The-Modern-Militia-MovementMissouri-MIAC-Strategic-Report-20Feb09- Names Ron Paul and Bob Barr supporters as right wing terrorists.
