And some fights should not be fought at all, because they just aren't genuine issues.

Sanity,on another thread you lamented losing your sense of humour.....I think I know where you left it.......midway down page 8.
Glad to be of help.

And it keeps getting better.

Rush calls Palin memoir "one of the most substantive policy books I've read"

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/17/2009 11:35:12 PM)

That would actually explain a lot, wouldn't it?

"Archivist"? That's kinda reaching, isn't it? Those were posted at practically the same time...

Thats part of what made it so funny!

Wow. He really should read more books.

The bulk of the reviewers say exactly the opposite. Even the few friendly ones don't go that far. She's silent on the major issues of the day--Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., Economic crisis, and even the Obama administration for the most part, saving the bulk of her ire for the McCain campaign. Other than that, it's the usual autobiography fluff published before a run for office.

Sanity -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/18/2009 7:17:02 AM)

We all know what "genuine issues" are, don't we. A good example would be when unnamed sources trash a nobody ex-vice presidential candidate who is about to release a new book.

Thats a perfect example of a "genuine issue".

Issues that are not genuine would include anything ever said or done by any elected Democrat (past or present), especially the President of the United States or Democratic Congressional leaders or Liberal Supreme Court Justice nominees.

That about sum it up? [;)]

well, you left out sesame street slandering, and lame TV sci-fi being interwoven in fantasy into some larger issue, and quite a bit more, but I'm feeling you as far as you went.

Well, it's difficult to keep all that straight, what with dinosaurs roaming about and all...

kittinSol -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/18/2009 8:06:17 AM)

Speaking of dinosaurs, does anyone know from Going Rogue whether Palin still wants creationism to be taught in schools?

Im glad you think the destruction of the dollar and the economy, weakening of our security and embarassment of the country in front of both our enemies and allies are funny shit. I don't. Barry has already surpassed Carter as the worst POTUS in history, and he has no clue how to recover. He is exactly what we said he was before the election, a radical leftist. Anybody with half a brain and a centrist to right philosophy would be a better POTUS.

well, lets start with your last statement (centrist , k I can agree with) there is nobody in the field of rights who has a brain, though.

FAIL.
wrong. There isnt a GOP governor who doesnt have more brains than the entire Obama administration combined.
BushII was the worst president in american history, so again:

FAIL.
not even close
The economy toileted in the Bush administration, big hole to dig out of.

FAIL.
watch where it goes in the next 4 years. the problems of the last year of the Bush administration (caused by Dems going back to Clinton) will look like boomtimes if Obama gets health care and crap and tax.

Dollars went from .71 to .67 to the euro (it was at 1.09 when bush took over and fell to that .71 thats about a 40 percent decrease during the bush years)
see above

Sarah Palin and the Bridge to nowhere on the drop, wilbur.

FAIL.
strawman
And you are some financial guy? You ain't gonna have any business you keep issuing financially ignorant statements like you just did.

FAIL.
we can compare financial statements anytimeLOL.

Ron

Still a loser.

Im not gonna go into anymore than this one.Whichever off these was in response to Bush II being the worst president in history, I can cite evidence of my claim, and have here and there, and in either case, if it was GOP Governor: my cite would be....Bobby Jindal, or even a few levels above him Tim Pawlenty.

If your response was: not even close, then you are left with Nixon, instead of W.

If the case is that you answered in the first, that's strawman, if in the second, it is an illegitimate appeal to authority.

Dunno, but just FYI, from the Huffington Post:

Palin Suggests Evolution Not Real In "Going Rogue"

Yes, she still is. It's baffling that she STILL hasn't learnt her lesson when it comes to foreign policy, but I suppose once a bimbo, always a bimbo. Here are her recommendations for Middle Eastern policy . Truly scary stuff: it's like a high school sophomore reciting her lesson. It's all so sad.

kittinSol -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/18/2009 8:38:44 AM)

Thanks, Muse.

Palin: "But I felt I was on solid factual grounds."

The woman is either delusional, crazy, stupid, or a very toxic cocktail of all three, but I suppose cuckoodom sells books.

Musicmystery -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/18/2009 8:39:13 AM)

What's sad, kitten, is the knee-jerk closing of ranks, lining up behind the ridiculously ignorant babble this gal spouts.

There are, truly, many genuinely intelligent and articulate conservatives. That they fall in behind her instead of saying "Wait a minute!" makes them appear ridiculous as well, and frankly, eliminates them at least for this voter from credible eligibility for any serious office.

mnottertail -> RE: McCain camp: Palin account 'all fiction' (11/18/2009 8:40:29 AM)

She was thouroughly vetted.

I completely agree. I wish the GOP would finalise the chasm and push the fringe lunatics to create their own party.

Aren't you being harsh? Here are Sarah Palin's policy recommendations:
1. Energy- Drill, baby, drill!
2. Iran- Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb-bomb Iran;
3. Afghanistan- Strong defense- more troops!
4. Economy- Cut taxes, spend more on Defense!

Now for the other 399 1/2 pages- an extensive dish on Levi, John McCain, and all the people who pissed me off!
