She posed for the picture now on newsweek. Sorry, she put herself in the public spotlight.

Admit it, Kit - you hate women, don't you?

For Runner's World.  Newsweek has had such cutbacks they can't get their own photograph?  It's trashy, and tabloidy.  Ain't free speech grand?

If you want to take the piss, at least don't be so blatant about it. You may swim alone in your mudpit [:)] .

It furthers the media left's stereotype of her - she's not fit for office because she's very feminine, and therefore very, very stupid.

What's Newsweeks' message in that one. 'Nothing more dangerous'?

The only people who give a flying duck's fuck how she looks are her supporters who keep on whining because some of us dare ignore her (much overplayed) looks, to choose instead to concentrate on her abysmal lack of content.

Ah, love is, indeed, very, very blind... poor Sanity [:)] .

One less subtle...no big words....

I don't like her, her accent is ridiculous to me and she's way too churchy for my taste, I just don't share your... I'll say inordinate hatred for her. If you're not jealous of her, then something's up. People don't begin fantasizing about murder over nothing...

Like this one?

The article includes this tid bit...

Tantaros called the cover a “gross slap in the face,” objecting to the fact that the photo appeared “un-retouched.” Said Tantaros, “it highlights every imperfection that every human being has, but we’re talking unwanted facial hair, pores, wrinkles.” The anchor chimed in, saying, “When they put you up close and personal on a magazine, even the gorgeous super models in the world, they retouch you to get rid of the normal flaws that human beings have. That’s what they do in the magazine business. They didn’t do it for Governor Palin.”

The cover was particularly grating to Tantaros when compared to Newsweek’s cover shots of Barack Obama. “After Newsweek has done so many favorable covers of Barack Obama that make him look presidential, that are clearly retouched. He looks flawless,” she says, adding: “He looks perfect, Julia. He looks perfect.”

“This is reality,” countered Piscitelli, after noting there was no evidence that an Obama cover had been retouched, either. “Demanding that political figures get retouching like super-models on the cover of news magazines is going a little far. What’s wrong with showing women the way they actually look, especially a woman as beautiful as Sarah Palin?”

I agree with Piscitelli that it’s absurd to ask news publications to adhere to standards set by fashion magazines. Photoshopping women’s bodies and faces—a process that takes even the most beautiful women in the world and distorts them to flawless, often anatomically impossible Barbie dolls—is out-of-control in women’s magazines; we don’t need Newsweek reinforcing an absurd standard of beauty on politicians, too.

What is wrong with her imperfections that she has to throw a fit over this photo, or any other that she posed for?

One, its like blaming the porn mags for publishing naked pics of beauty queens. Sorry, you posed for them. I dont care if the pic was for a running magazine. If she didnt have enough sense to realize something like that would come back to bite her ass, thyen she is stupider than i thought.

Two, our young girls are overrun with pics of women looking impossibly perfect. We dont need a woman in a high place of power in this country complaining about the lack of respect her beauty is given.

Who's fantasising over murdering Palin? Who hates her? Do you?

She's ridiculous and a clown, but hate? No. I leave that sentiment to entities that gravitate on lower spheres than I do - they know who they are.

I'll keep on laughing though :-) .

I don't think the femininity has anything to do with it, but you are right about the second part.

Sanity, you make it way too easy. You fight a good fight, but some fights should just be laid to rest. Master's father came into town yesterday. We had a lovely dinner. I asked him, since he lives in England, how the outside world (outside of the US) views Obama. His response... they are grateful he isnt Bush. He also agreed with me that the racial issue isnt the real issue, just a cover up for the fact that he isnt republican. The tea party folks are viewed with a shake of their head, and seen as putting a black eye on the republican party.

I had to agree with everything he said.
