My personal trainer who owns her own gym wants me to get certified as a personal trainer and especially in cardio kickboxing so I can come teach and train in her new upgraded gym.. well coming in June anyways. I'm seriously thinking about doing that and taking some nutrition classes so I can be the gym's nutritionist.

THIS is an awesome opportunity, its something i really would love to do -- i am trying to save up for it because the certification is kind of expensive for me as most of the certs want all the money up front -- blah! To me its also hard to know which one to get. Hindsight, i really wish i would have minored in same when i was in college - maybe i wouldn't have 1) gotten so out of shape over the years and 2) would be an excellent part time job where clients are motivation to maintain your own in shapeness.

Congrats on this great opportunity with the success of your getting back in shape and losing weight -- keep us posted on how it goes.

Thanks! You are right I checked into it a little bit last night and it is certainly not cheap to get certified. I'm hoping that some things will start to change soon for the better. I told her I'd start working on it in May when I finally hit goal size I'd be much more comfortable advising people when I was happy with my own weight.

Impy, I know how you feel when you say that you are amazed.  I'm feeling the same way.  Probably because I have tried so many different methods for so long with very little success.  I'm finally feeling like I am losing now that I've lost the first 40 lbs.  Every time I put some article of clothing on, I'm noticing the difference.  It's like it took this long for my mind to accept the weight loss.  Some people say that even when they lose weight, they still have the fat body image.  I had had such difficulty realizing that I was fat for so long.  In my head I still weighed 150 lbs, not the nearly 300 that the scale said I weighed.  I'm not losing it really fast, but I am losing it steadily.

I hear you on that Lin... For awhile I had this body image of myself that I was much bigger than I really was and I mean like much bigger. The trainer would say things I'm like I have no idea what you are talking about. Eventually she stepped in and said, "Hey how you view yourself is not how it really is." You are not grossly obese and you never have been in order for this to work we need to work on how you view yourself body image wise.

We are still cleaning house, my bedroom being the next on the list.  I know Mom wants me to go under the bed, but with my breasts, that is hard to do.  Maybe we can use my nephew for the under the bed stuff...*knows she have to assure him that there is no monster under the said bed*

Still hauling things up and down the stairs. We live upstairs, but the laundry room is downstairs. So, with cleaning things that were in storage, and playing catch up, I'm hauling laundry up and down the stairs, along with small boxes of books.
I've officially dropped a pant size, and picked up two new pairs. One cord/demin mix (or that's how it feels to me) and one pair of black dress pants. Both the same size and 'proper' 24. I was in 3x (24-26), elastic waists, and those are now way too big. Also that was in the relaxed cut. These are zippered not elastic waists. One pair is comfortable, the other is 1.5 inches smaller (same size, same brand, different design) and the smaller one I can sit in, breathe in, but they are very snug.

As I was sitting at my sister's today, she looked over at my nephew & asked him how much his little girl weighs.  He told her she weighs about 46 lbs.  My sister told me to stand up & pick the little one up to feel how much weight I had lost.  Granted, I've only lost 40 lbs, but that was a total shock!!!  It was hard for me to lift her & I didn't want to walk while carrying her.  So this is what it felt like before I started losing the weight.  No wonder I was always tired & had no energy to walk very far!!   Whatever you have lost, I suggest that you go find something that weighs that much & try lifting it.  That will give you an idea of just how much you've really lost.

Great idea!

Picked up two ten pound bags of flour and damn...

Amazing, isn't it???

impishlilhellcat -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (2/27/2010 10:41:19 PM)

I'm freakin' amazed that the #'s haven't MOVED on my FREAKIN' scale yet I put on my pantsuit this AM & the pants are so big on me now I had to pin them together lest they fall down during work! [;)]

mnottertail -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (3/1/2010 6:28:35 AM)

I get sorta tired of telling you whiney fatgirls this shit over and over, even more times than there are fake threads or what kind of grease does mistress use on her strapon.....but

Muscle is more dense (and therefore weightier by size) than fat.

You are turning fat into muscle (a very very very very good thing) and therefore may not move the scale in any coincidental fashion with your waist or panty line.

Throw the fucking scale out for 6 months and workout. You are doing GANGBUSTERS!!!!!

Ron

VirginPotty -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (3/1/2010 6:38:18 AM)

In my head I know that about the muscles Ron but in my heart I want the damn scale to move downward!!!!!! DAMMIT! Give me a blowjob!

Just fuck with the dial like you did when you were fat, or only weigh yourself fully clothed.

VirginPotty -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (3/1/2010 6:56:50 AM)

I can do that, Ron!

impishlilhellcat -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (3/1/2010 7:03:47 AM)

I'm not going by weight on the scale. It's pointless to me so I have no idea how many pounds I've lost. I'm going by clothing size. That's why i have a goal size and not a goal weight.

mnottertail -> RE: The CollarMe "Biggest Loser" Gang WANTS YOU!!1! (3/1/2010 7:06:11 AM)

Just so you all know, you aren't actually measuring weight on a bathroom scale, rather mass.

This is an error of significant 'gravitas'..............

And, no....mass does not automatically make your ass look fat.

LOL, I am so gawddamn funny I kill myself.

Ron

We were going to go to Curves but I woke up to my daughter calling me about her NYC field trip.  I talked to her teacher and got some things ironed out with him.  I just wish that the rest of my backpay was in so I can write up a check and cover the rest of the trip.
