Wow. Just wow.

Coakley ran a horrible campaign, but still... states don't get more blue.  And Obama personally tried to help out.

The GOP will try to paint this as the country reacting to Obama and/or health care.  I suspect it is more of an anti-incumbent mood.

The incumbent happens to be dead in this case. Just a notation on the wall of why it can't be voter anger.

It was an open seat, Steve.  It was a rejection of the Obama/Democrat administration.

And the margin of victory will keep the Dems from pulling any shenanigans. Good job Brown.

Steven, "WOW" is right! People are pissed! Obama had better start focussing on making them "un-pissed."
I was listening to the Howie Carr Show today and one caller said; "Watchout Kerry! You're next!"

I phrased that badly.  Coakley was the standard bearer of the Dem party.

I think you hit the nail on the head...

You notice no Kennedy made a serious run here nor did the Kennedy Family really spend any real capital on supporting
Coakley. They are not stupid, they can read the writing on the wall and they wanted no part of a Kennedy losing this election.

This was a big wake -up call for the Democrats.
And ya know what?
I think they needed it.

Wake up!!!

congrats; the US is now almost 100% guaranteed to get the health care reform that is required, rather than the mess that has been proposed, albeit a few more years to go.

For once I agree with Lady Ellen, We do want and need health care REFORM here in the good old USA. We do not want a complete government takeover of it. That is the message that was sent tonight

Servant, I agree! Like I said, give everyone the same plan that the congress has! Why not?
