That's over now; the best we can do now is pretty much the entire Senate bill, word for word. This is a huge step backward for civilization, any way you look at it.

This was a protest vote- Brown stands for nothing but "Status quo".

When you have a Presidentwho campaigns on change, and a party establishment that carries on business as usual...when you have a party image as the party that represents Main Street, but is beholden to Wall Street...you have lost your core message.

Whoever actually convinces America that they will fight Wall Street will be a winner in November.

The upcoming battle over a tax on Wall Street and a Consumer Protection Agency will separate out the true populists from the phonies.

If I say that Keith Olbermann is really an android operated by Leon Panetta from the depths of CIA headquarters in Langley - the onus is on me to provide some sort of proof - not on anyone to try and prove that Keith Olbermann is not an android.

Throwing a flurry of accusations at Scott Brown without any evidence is akin to claiming the the President is a "secret muslim" who was born in Kenya and isn't an American citizen. It's beyond baseless and downright detrimental to the political process unless you have something to show substantiating it.

Out of curiousity I've begun doing my own research - he won Cosmo's "America's Sexiest Man" contest in 1982 and appeared nude in the magazine - although I think nude is a relative term as Cosmo doesn't really do full frontal nudity as far as I'm aware.

He favors civil unions and is against gay marriage. He's pro-choice. He's served 30 years in the National Guard and was deployed twice - to Paraguay and Kazakhstan. He's been married to the same woman for over 20 years and has two children.

"Irresponsible", "lying" and "reactionary" I put down to hyperbole. I'm working on the basis of racist and supporter of violence against women and politicians.

Between the commentators on the right and the commentators on the left, I'm beginning to think we need a serious revision to the libel laws.
