When Lushy said appeal to our mind instead of yours, she means women (and men) like someone who seems particularly enthralled with THEM not just anyone with a pulse who fits the right chromosome.

I see what you mean, but it was 'not yours' part I didn't get, the way you said it made a lot more sense and I am probably getting stuck on semantics because the initial statement was a good sound bite

i do say that in so many words and got one reply today that it made her cunt explode, so go figure

my writings do appeal to a subset of subbiedom

So then why are you again here whining?

quite, profiles are meant to attract the right person to you Osf, if your profile is attracting people, if your messages are attracting people then why complain?

If as someone said it is the wrong kind of person then you have the wrong kind of profile/writing style. Its simple

Well most people dont start whole threads complaining about things they are happy about.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: I wrote everything in my profile and journal (1/28/2010 12:02:37 PM)

I think the post is another shameless ploy to get hits on his profile and journal.

Osf, just admit it - you are an attention whore![:D]

osf -> RE: I wrote everything in my profile and journal (1/28/2010 12:02:38 PM)

I have a question for you, OSF.

Ok.  You attracted the attention of a female slave, and  she's read your profile and journal as you instructed her to do.  What now?  What are your expectations of female slaves who contact you?

I was wondering something similar.. how would he react if a slave type emailed him that she expected him to read her profile and journal to learn about her....

Ok this is a little more personal to Osf, once I wrote you a message regarding something I said to you on the boards, I won't go into the details but really all it needed as a reply was 'ok' instead I got 'read my journal' which to be honest made no sense, I have no clue why I would want to read your journal.

Generally if I get a mail from someone and I like it then i will look at their profile, normally a scan read, I dont generally read journals often far too full of complaining. I dont need to be told to read a journal.

Also with a journal as big as yours Osf how can anyone know what bit you actually want them to read? The surreal entries that mean nothing? The opinion you have o women that makes me want to get my feminist soapbox out?

I can see what NZ is saying, people read as a matter of course which kinda means you don't need to ask them too, and generally how much the read/how often is indicative of how into you they are.

you made a comment about what i was saying so i told you to read my journal for clarification

Which part? That's about as helpful as telling someone to read a medical textbook when they are asking about how to care for a cut.

Again, if you are happy with your results and those women... why are you griping about some subs who want this or that?

Then get over yourself and change your approach or accept that you can't have them because you don't suit them. Focus on the ones that you do mesh with instead of the ones you don't.

Seems pretty basic to me.

I have been told by more than one man that when you ask him, "what are you thinking?" And he replies, "nothing", that he is telling the truth.

Hmm, but ever notice how few men ask us the same thing? And on the rare occasions I have been asked I have honestly replied nothing

blushingflower -> RE: I wrote everything in my profile and journal (1/28/2010 12:28:35 PM)

Are you sure what you're writing is "wit"?  I get lots of "hey, liked your profile, check out mine and drop me a line" emails.  And there's nothing to suggest what specifically about my profile they liked, and frequently when I do go look at said profile, there's nothing to indicate that we would be compatible in any way, or much in the way of anything that tells me about the writer's personality.  I don't expect a literary masterpiece, but I want to see that you're a decent communicator.  I know it's hard to write a unique email to each person, especially if you're contacting a lot of people, but consider narrowing your net and putting more effort into each first contact.  Even "I really liked your profile, specifically XYZ, and I'd like to get to know you better, if you're interested.  Feel free to check out my profile and get back to me at your convenience".
I pretty universally read the sender's profile before replying anyway, and I doubt I'm alone in that.

While an interesting question, I was thinking more along the lines of his past posts where he gave the impression that he doesn't want to have to negotiate or communicate with a slave.  He's remarked on several occaisions that any requests from submissives are taken as a form of topping from the bottom and that he seems to believe that indulging a submissive's curiosity/need for information is seen as an attempt at forcing service from him.

His target is a very specific submissive subset.  He seems to want someone who will not tax him in the communication department.  Without imposing ones own methods upon him, the equation seems to be simple.  How does he expect to get from A(his search) to Z(his goal) with minimal effort/communication?

I'm genuinely curious what his expectations ARE - once he does get their attention, and they have read his profile.  Whatever those intentions are (whether any of us agree with them) are what would serve him best in his profile/journal, instead of/in additon to the 15,000 word essay on what he believes D/s to be about.

So, he's attracted a no-limits slave, who is interested in what he's put on the tabe, who has obediently done as she's told (read his journal)....what is his NEXT requirement/expectation of her...
