ORIGINAL: rulemylife Second, "the suits" as you call them bowed to the intimidation of veiled death threats which will only encourage more of the same now that they have been successful in censoring what they perceive as offensive. As opposing to bowing to the more common place bowing to the intimidation of advertiser pressure? Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favour of censorship. But the idea that the media corporations are some kind of free speech warriors seems somewhat unsupported, to say the least. On this, it's not actually that daring. The places where this would have been shown are not ones where Muslims have a lot of political power. (By that benchmark, the Dixie Chicks were far more courageous, because they actually stood up to the powerful). Yes, people have a right to take potshots at the already marginalised. But there's nothing 'brave' about it. If you want satire that's genuinely daring on this subject, watch the new Chris Morris movie instead.
