No, but I have been known to have an interest in shrooms.

AQ would have done a better job.  The wiring was described as amateurish, and the idea of leaving the engine running and hazard lights flashing is ridiculous - just draws attention.  And an SUV could have had a lot more destruction within it than just three propane tanks and ten gallons of gas.

You mean like their shoe and panty bomb attempts?

I am watching the C.oP. press confrence... 4pm now...This bomb would have killed thousands had it gone off and the fires it would have started might still have been being fought today.

I agree, but it is still an attempted act of terrorism regardless of who was behind it and what their motivations were.

Terrorists are usually considered people from other countries or other side in a civil war. Not just someone who is a mass murderer. Were the people who mailed anthrax to the Senate terrorists. Not by that definition.

Neither, by that definition was the Unibomber or any fired postal employee who goes postal and shoots up a post office.

We're not saying this is correct, we're saying this may not be the right choice of word. What if it turns out to be an isolationist conspiracy nut from Idaho or Pennsylvania. Will the word terrorist apply then?

I'd suggest that is exaggeration.  The truck that bombed the Alfred P. Murrah building contained at least three 55 gallon drums of nitromethane, 108 fifty pound bags of fertilizer, several crates of the explosive Tovex, and several bags of ANFO.  It only killed 163 people.

Granted, even one person killed is too many.  But to generate even more fear by exaggerating the destructive power of this bomb only serves the interests of the terrorist.

If you can reduce the nuclear material to a singularity (which of course is gonna weigh more than the rap group the Fat Boys (an homage to Gen Groves et al)), I belive you could fit it in a refrigerator box.

If we look at the history of the U.S. government do we see any patern of conspiracies or coverups.

Apparently the Pakistan Taliban claimed responsibility on tape: http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/local_news/nyc/pakistani-taliban-claims-responsibility-20100502-ac

They however, taped it under the assumption that it went off.  Hopefully, mostly for my safety, that was the only one.

I disagree.  See my edit to the previous post.

Yes, I saw the edit but it really doesn't change anything unless you are making the distinction that one angry person does not fit the definition of terrorism because he is not part of a group that promotes a cause by use of violence.

Could you give us a quick definition of terrorist Please?

Pakistani Taliban claim credit for failed NYC Times Square car bombing
By Bill RoggioMay 2, 2010 10:24 AM

The tape has yet to be verified, but US intelligence officials contacted by The Long War Journal believe it is legitimate. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan News Channel on YouTube was created on April 30. Officials believe it was created to announce the Times Square attack, and Qari Hussain’s statement was pre-recorded.

All indications are the tape is legitimate. YouTube has pulled the video and shut down the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan News Channel since this article was published.

arent you forgetting about the bombs that were on the inside that was reported in all the news reels that are all over bootube and that there was military expert familiar with fert bombs who mathematically prvoed it was blown from the inside out?  The bomb trucks that hauled away the other 2 bombs?

How can you stop at the fert bomb when the building was intended to come down and all the witnesses heard 2 bombs go off?

*sighs*  I'm not engaging you in a discussion on a conspiracy theory.  My point stands on its own.

Unless you'd like to argue that there being bombs inside the APM building somehow makes this bomb from yesterday more powerful.
