Like I say nothing wrong with it. Im not saying anything that people who have no voice or who are depressed and dont feel confident at the moment do not feel like saying. Lots of people are saying this maybe not on a forum but privately Im sure. The bottom line is most people are disgusted with international corporate inc and rightly so. After all little taxpayer is paying for them. And that is fundamentally wrong. And yes in the current economy it is plain wrong to be on more than $800,000 yearly even if you are a CEO of a major company

Sorry, dole-boy, but you don't get to make the rules about what is wrong or right for people who actually pay their own way in life.

Excuse me Im not on the dole. I dont qualify. Nor do I want to. Im on work experience. And Im sorry but I have every right Ma'am to say what I think even if it not palatable to you. And in my view a CEO should be grateful for an $800,000 salary. After all he has staff to do all the work for him. And what more importantly is he /she producing. Fat nothing as far as the last eighteen months are concerned. Are they justifying their salaries? In no way. But thats my opinion your entitled to yours. But I dont agree

Kevin,

Just do us all a favor, start up your own company. Hire all your unemployed friends regardless of their know-how. Pay yourself less than you do them. See how fast you go out of business. Come back in a year or two and report. We'll all be waiting with bated breath.

Now ain't that simple? That way you can pay extra taxes all you want so that you are a part of society that you complain so much about. You won't hire any execs that you have to pay too much since you'll be doing all the grunt work.

Now, vomit away, you are just NOT worth a migraine.

i do believe you are on to something here toots.

i'd love to see kevin live up to his rediculous standards that he attempts to put on others.

and as a sidebar- its been a few years since i was in the UK for school...but i do believe "work expirence" is the same as a low paying internship in the US.

so i'm just wondering where the high and mighty attitude is coming from.

There's no way in hell he could live up to what he wants to force on everybody else.

But that will never be evident as the rubber can't even hit the road. As for the high and mighty attitude? It comes from that sense of entitlement he has. The one no one else who's responded can see, the damn trees are in the way.

Oh once again it's all about you Kevin. What you think is right and what you think should happen and all you have to back yourself up is a bunch of convoluted propaganda that spews forth from your one source (Kevin), and relates to one person (Kevin), and is based on maths done by ....Kevin. Making logic in your own head is no substitute for having it make sense to anyone else or the rest of the world.

Why aren't CEO's beating a path to your door Kevin? Because you don't matter. I don't really matter either and my neighbor doesn't matter. No one is asking any of us what to do about the economy because we don't understand the scope of the problem and certainly wouldn't know what to do about it. That must make you feel terribly small and therefore you have hurt feelings and feel you must keep spouting forth your one-wayisms- if only someone would listen!! No one cares about your theories and half-baked propositions because they aren't founded on any kind of reality or knowledge. If anything you had to say had any merit then someone would be paying attention to you somehow but they aren't- so accept the fact that you can't change the rest of the world.

Commerce, trade, business makes the world go round. It's how we all live. You don't know crap about that as you can't even successfully support yourself. I own businesses and I am currently pursuing more schooling...why the hell should I give a rat's ass about someone who doesn't work as hard as I do? I do more than my share in helping others through my businesses. I provide meals, insurance, sometimes even housing if an employee needs it. In return I get employees that have been with me through the 14 years that i have been in business. In the restaurant business that is unheard of. You wouldn't stand a chance at working for me with your lazy whining self-centered attitude.

Get your act together and figure out the world doesn't owe you anything and doesn't give a rip about your theories on mankind and the business world -all your theories are self-serving. Either shit or get off the pot. I took myself from being a single parent with nothing to living a comfortable life and I did it on my own by myself with no one's help but my ex. We worked like dogs. Get the picture? I didn't whine endlessly about what the world owed me - I played by how the world already works and made it happen for me.

Until The Wall Street Journal comes knocking on your door to find out what the world should do in times of economic crisis you should just shut up. Your theories aren't worth a thing, and the self-serving whining is holding you back from living a productive life.

Dole-boy, your grasp of the duties of a CEO are about as solid as your grasp of particle physics.  Your opinions on either topic are meaningless.  Stick to your insipid ramblings about whether the girl who works in your local chip shop is a domme because she wears boots and spills drinks on nitwits like you.  Anything more serious is clearly too much for your gray matter to handle.

Im not the only one who feels this way. Im not talking on behalf of myself. I m talking on behalf of ordinary workers many with obligations who have been made redundant. Im talking about how most in the world feel about corrupt CEO's and businesses not being run properly

Your views held by many in positions of authority is the reason why the economy is the way it is. And for the record what businesses are doing at the moment is self serving , what corporate Ireland did was self serving as was all the banks who speculated recklessly and now expect the ordinary tax payer to foot the bill

Miss Asylum with respect work experience is less than that of a low paying internship. My work experience is unpaid there is no paying whatsoever for nine months. I would not mind a low paying internship.

so let me make sure i can comprehend this- you don't qualify for public assistance, but you're not making money. you make a big deal out a being on work expirence, but you won't have a paying job until the end of summer- which at the earliest is still 4 months from now, still holding you JOBLESS. You have fussed at others making money, and yet you applaude me for buying a new car(just for the record- its a 2010 cls mercedes that i bought soley with my money i have made as a prodomme). you've attempted to force the idea of a $40/hour session on me, but you can't really afford one in the first place. You try to assert your "knowledge" on economics, but you are, in fact, JOBLESS....kevin my dear boy- you are indeed a complex creature.

Are you confusing "casino" banking with business in general Kevin? Thats what brought the whole thing crashing down, not the likes of me - in fact the likes of me is still here and still employing people despite all that.

Here's the news - the buck stops here on my desk. That means every buck going - if the business fails then its me thats destitute, along with my kids and other dependents. My employees would be out of a job but they could get welfare benefits no problem to see them through to the next one - try signing on when you owned a business, they dont believe you. Whatever someone does in my employ, I am responsible and liable for - that means I get sued and even go to prison even if what they do is contrary to instructions. If there are breaches of the million and one regulations on employment and employers, its me what faces the music.

Now, do you reckon its worth all that risk for average wage?

And here's a heads up - well done and all for getting your work experience and doing so well and all at it, but you might want to scrub up on your negotiating skills if youre getting nothing for it. Ireland has a minimum wage I believe? Sounds to me like youre being taken advantage of - whats her name?

E

No She is not taking advantage.FAS is the company its fas.ie.  She is a private employer that is taking advantage of a scheme for nine months where the employee works for no salary just work experience only with the aim that at the end of the nine months the employer is willing to give the employee a paid position if satisfactory service is rendered. So far She feels Im doing fine and has told me She will give me a paid position at the end of the summer if things continue to go well. And yes I am talking about the casino bankers who have ruined it for the rest of us. And Lady Ellen I think it s a disgrace that you should cop the blame for your employee's actions. Employees are adults and must face the music . If they do wrong they should be punished. Turn them into the police. Dont take responsibility for your employees actions. And if your business  goes bust there is no way that you should go without. A business going bust is not your fault alone, it is the responsibility also of your employees to keep you afloat in return for a satisfactory wage.  I believe that you are complying with all legal standards and are paying them the going rate. They are obligated in return to do things by your instructions. You are the boss . Not them.  That s what them I m talking about Lady Ellen, the loopholes and injustices that everyone suffers not just employees. But to my mind everyone is an employee because everyone is a worker at the end of the day whether they are the boss or not. And when the boss loses his or her business that is the equivalent of an employee losing a job in my mind . And yes the state should provide in that instance. But Im glad things are remaining good for you so far and that they keep good. Employees should above all be law abiding . If they break the law , I have no time for devious employees like that. They are scum and should be jailed
