I take it thats a joke PS? In the end it didnt matter too much whether it did or not, and there can be all sorts of arguments about how it changed the game etc but NG is right, we just were not good enough in general and our defence in the Germany game might as well not have turned up at all.

Whether we are or are not good enough overall is another question. I dont think we lack spirit and commitment in our players, you can bet your salary theyll be as disappointed as we all are. But we do lack a plan and we do lack enough quality players; 3 or 4 in a squad of 23 just isnt enough.

yea England's so great, i loved watching them in the Euro '08 and against a couple of teams the USA beat lol

Ah yes.....the good old "lol"....the seal of approval and final word in any conversation. Although you're slipping...."ROFLMAO"...is the one I've come to expect. Where does it end though? lol....lmao....roflmao....."laughed so much my cock has just dropped off"......anymore?...and were you really laughing?.....and why hasn't "FACT" entered this conversation?

lol

seriously though, it may be time for England fans to lower their expectations a bit. it seems to me that they expect to win the WC every time and recent results don't back that up

I am wondering if you or Ellen actually looked at the link. I thought it was us southerners who were humourless.

I try to avoid downloading links PS, but OK I did it. No need to get bent all out of shape; I can say that straight up.

Portugal were disappointing last night.

Was it Portugal who was so disappointing or a certain Captain of the team?  It might work better if Mr Renaldo there tried to inspire and engage his team mates rather than spending most of his time appearing to be embarrassed that he has to play with them.

Well, seems like composure and the proper way to purport oneself has left the tournament with the English team.

What tournament? A tournament without England is not worth having........

Thought your lad Schweinsteiger (spelling?) had a very good game today.....remember when he came on the scene he was supposed to be the German Beckham...but never quite delivered.....he ran the show today.......comfortably the best player on the pitch. And Muller's yellow card that puts him out the semi was ridiculous......

And so Brazil fall by the way side. Germans showed once again why they will be tough to beat this time round.

I am new to watching futbol. Perhaps somebody can explain what appears to be a gross injustice. I am referring to Luis Suarez' deliberate handball denying Ghana the winning goal. He gets suspended for only one game and says, "It was worth it." How do fans of the "world's game" live with that? In basketball when a player reaches above the rim of the net to block a ball the points are awarded to the shooter. Why wasn't the goal awarded to Ghana? Please don't tell me cause that's the rule. What is the rationale? Seems to be kinda sucky.

Oh btw, will someone please explain the off side rule to me. Many thanks.
