MissAsylum -> Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 6:32:40 AM)

there has been a recent string of events that has me very concerned. i had breakfast this morning with a regular client of mine who has also become a friend, and he was shaken badly by his first time expiernce with a male dominant. long story short, the dom tried to force my client into sawing off one of his legs(the right one specificly) because he was into people with missing limbs. i know that is a fetish, but i thought i applied to those ALREADY missing a limb, but this dom wanted the honour of removing my client's leg himself. also, i recieved a message from somebody who said that he has an extreme kink. he said that he is going through some medical problems and would pay somebody to sexually abuse him and torture him before they kill him. these this really concerns me since these things are playing with human life, something that i believe should never be messed with. do you think BDSM is being used as a cover-up for being mentally ill?

I've said this on one of your threads before.  It seems that you and the people you associate with can manage to find more "crazy" connected with kink than I have in all of My time in the lifestyle.

LadyCimarron -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 6:40:05 AM)

No, I don't think that BDSM is being used as a cover up for mental health. I believe there is a mental health crisis in our society. Due to economic pressures, veterans returning from war, the increase in the use of powerful illicit drugs and probably a lot of other things I am not mentioning; there are a lot more people out there in need of mental healthcare. Most are not receiving it.  This increase naturally spills over into other walks of life including the kink lifestyle.

Crazy attracts crazy.

Happy stories suck.

while you have a point, this didn't directly effect me like people i have run into before. this is just something that morally bothers me.

I think there is some truth to that. Its amazing how some mentally ill people will eventually find someone else mentally ill to be friends with.

And your right....the best stories have something horrible happen in them. Nobody wants to read a life story of a person who has never had one bad thing happen to them.

I like to read about somebody who's life sucks worse than mine.

Maybe that makes me mentally ill.............wanna be friends?[:D]

while i havent the slightest idea if these people were involved in the military(which i can only imagine would screw with anybody to an extent), i have seen a commercial recently that pertains to veterans that are being put in prision for extremely violent crimes. its a sad thing really. i only know of one recent vet and he SEEMS to be well adjusted and is employed, doing his art work, but to my knowledge isn't engaing in anything illegal. i would only hope the the US would have provided some type of extensive mental care post departure from military service, but thats another subject matter all together.

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 6:53:16 AM)

you calling me crazy Jeffffffffffffffffff? i dont like being called crazy!

Jeffff -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 6:57:57 AM)

No, I think you either invite more drama than necessary into your life, or you make stuff up.

You asked.........

I think you're describing very ordinary kinky activities about which we should all strive to keep open minds, Miss A.

Reminds me of one of my favourite Mel Brooks quotes -

"Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die."

To be honest, if it makes you feel any better I'd imagine if a domme told him "sure, I'd totally get off on murdering you, but I get to keep the body okay?" the guy would make a quick 180.

I'm sure there are people who would act out this fetish but I'd also guess that most people who have it, have it as a fantasy fetish not as something they want to act out.

Out of curiosity though how much was he willing to pay?

loverly -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:13:38 AM)

i believe that sometimes people get bored and find something extreme with which to SHOCK people with and test it repeatedly... for the reaction and attention or a laugh.

Since i have no time for the Drama or ignorant activities.. I Ignore these people. They will go away ....

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:16:11 AM)

well i failed creative writing so i actually have no clue where to start in terms of making things up. things that i have invited into my life that cause drama: drug addiction due to dating somebody WAY out of the appropriate age range for me, not doing a background check one somebody i was inviting to my play space, taking vanilla folk to a play party( yes, it was discovered to be a play party), and dealing with somebody who i later realized had been mesmerized into the lifestyle via porn(coffee incident). all those were a result of being careless and shame on me for doing so. however, as i mentioned to LP, i wouldn't call this thread a matter of something i did wrong or should have done differently. i've played with the mentioned gentleman since i have started and never had a problem with him. his situation had nothing to do with me, but made me feel terrible to hear about. and for all i know, the message that i recieved could have been a copy/paste one. it still concerned me to read it.

divi -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:18:10 AM)

wow you do sound crazy

crazyml -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:19:01 AM)

To the OP:

I have to say that, like Jeffff, I'm struck by how unlucky you are when it comes to dramas like this!

To answer your question with a very straight bat..

No.

Kinky has always been faintly tainted with "crazy", "taboo", "bad". Kinky has always attracted its fair share (I'd argue a little more than its fair share) of people that are out and out crazy.

[edited to fix exactly the kind of grammar error that makes me go "tut" when I see it in other people's writing - doh]

laurell3 -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:24:24 AM)

Yeah I'm sorry but I'm with them....I always wait for your stories to end with tap, tap, tap Miss Asylum..............

MissAsylum -> RE: Is "kinky" becoming the new codeword for "crazy"? (7/8/2010 7:27:38 AM)
