Mod 11 was fair to me, I have nothing bad to say about her..

The one occasion she asked me to stop posting on a thread, I did so, end of story. She was not nasty to me. She did not email me drama. She was not rude. She was matter of fact. All I can say is my experience....

No, it's not a problem, I just dont see how its productive. Up to you, speculate all you like, I did not mean that at all, but the past is the past. There are some that think I have treated them unfairly, you have seen at least one poster on this thread that thought I could have handled something differently, so no Mod will get brownie points from everyone.

However, we don't normally allow discussion of users who are no longer here, as they are not here to defend themselves, whether users or Moderators. So I would ask that you respect that, it is not because you are talking about a Moderator.

As I said long ago, and have not abided by, I think I have spoken enough on this thread, and although yall are free to discuss whatever you would like, I feel that it is time for the admin to get out of the conversation, so I am going to do my paid work, and wish you all a wondrous night.[:)]

I got threatened with moderation today cause I was kind of mean to somebody.  But I think they asked for it.  I emailed the mod back and asked that the other person's posts to me be removed as well but they are still there.  I even went back and amended the post so as to be not so mean, but still get my point across and that one was deleted, too.  Anyway, I didn't think that the mod was being at all fair.  I thought the mod was being very one-sided about the situation.  I confess, though, I do like VAA.

I didn't mean they would take it personally...I meant they would not moderate unless you were breaking tos...and to argue with them when you are wrong might make them think you need a longer ban or a permanent one.

Saddly there also comes times when a Moderator must make a decision and stick to it.

It sucks when I have had to do that because the decision I made, made the person who did not get moderated act like a Jack Ass and Gloat and basically be a Dick, but he didn't violate the rules just being a civil human being.

The thing that bothers me is when two people are being stupid and I point out that they are being stupid and ask them to knock it off I get Moderated by having my post pulled and then get what I consider a Patronizing message in my in box and the two people continue on being stupid to one another. Again, it isn't my site and isn't my call.

Well, I didn't think it was too much to ask, this person continually talks about me in posts and rarely addresses me personally.  And when they do, they take a very condescending tone and I don't appreciate it.  I didn't run to mods about it, I just up and decided to say something to the person for once and I guess they couldn't handle it.

Yeah, I see that a lot.... what I used to tell people is, if what they are doing is wrong and bothering you before you say something which you know might get you in trouble ask a Mod, if You don't tell a Mod and they do, then you can only blame the fact that you are not as petty as them for the double standard.

In a situation like that you might want to put them on Hide, this way you don't have to worry about what they say... Personally I am a Glutton for punisment I want to know what they say.... It's a form of entertainment.

im very disappointed by the moderation system right now- i think they have failed us all.

when a two minute thread costs me 2 months, you have to question the system. there was no ill intent behind it or desire to offend anyone whatsoever... if it was deemed out of bounds, it should have been locked or deleted. for me to be banned without the slightest warning is not right.


the bottom line is that this board exists because of posters, not moderators. they should function as public servants, not overlords.

I've thought about putting people on hide, but, yeah, I want to know what people are saying, too.  I'll take your advice there, but I really didn't think what I said was that bad. 

I think it's funny, though, that on a BDSM website, we're expected to be NICE to each other!  LOL!  Now, you be nice or else I'm gonna put you on moderation...

Alpha asked me to post this message from her, and she is trying very hard to get some work done:

There appears to be a misperception among a few users that the moderators here work independently.  All of the moderators work for Alpha.  All of them follow her directives, and anything they do is not only a reflection on her, but is in all likelihood, a direct request from her.  Alpha doesn't have the time to pull all of the posts that need to be pulled, or write all of the letters that need to be written, and often will ask another moderator to carry out a specific task.

I do not hide posts, if a thread is going poorly, I leave the thread behind until I feel like dealing with it, and sometimes I never feel like dealing with it...

If I have to hide someone's post I feel like they got the better of me. I don't like feeling that way. If I notice that someone tends to irritate me I may skip over their posts so that I avoid the irritation, but block them....nope
