I misread your post....My mistake was reading your post and thinking that you meant to stop "everyone' and ask them to prove that they are here legally.

If you commit a crime and it can be shown that you are here illegally then you should be immediately deported.

If you think that these measures are going to have any serious impact on illegal immigration you are fooling yourself.

Why don't we go after the employees that hire the illegals?

What is the problem, you ask, with asking people being here legally?

Why should they when so many are willing to hire them without making them go through the process?

If no one was hiring them they wouldn't be here loitering around for work.....lol.

Remove the loiterers? Pretty soon they will stop loitering.

If the people coming across the border where BLACK, had MY skin color/and or darker, or imagine if they were of Arabic/Middle Eastern descent? they would have built 10 walls, and have that border shit nailed down, with electric fences, helicopters, all branches of the military and technology we never heard of.

At best, we have very SELECTIVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION here in this country, you can bet your last money if people start coming here illegally from Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, Africa, and other select Middle Eastern countries, that border will be secured in a NY minute.

7.8 million people live in Va....Illegals around 100k or so. (hard to get up to date estimates) You think the cops are going to make a dent by arresting law breakers and deporting those that are found to be illegals?

Second, I never said VA would accomplish a damn thing, I just stated what is going on.
Third, we are not in the DEPRESSION yet, give it a few more years.
When the DEPRESSION hits, even you will know it.

SELECTIVE LEGAL IMMIGRATION as well. The overall system promotes and encourages people only from certain countries to come into the US. We are not a diverse cultural melting pot. There way too many programs that specifically target, encourage and promote people from specific countries to immigrate to the US. Similar programs do not exist for people of other cultures or countries.

It's pretty sad, when a College has a program that only accepts people from india and allocated 10 out of 30 slots in a program for the medical profession. The other 20 slots remaining are for people in the local community. Ironic, what would be the chances of somebody from the Ukrain making it into that class? Let alone somebody from Eypt or other parts of Africa?

Whether or not the thread still exists. At some point you have referred to our current economic predicament as a "depression."

In a few more years things will be better that they are today. You will be depressed, that once again, you were found to be wrong. that will be the only depression going around.

Maybe popeye will be depressed as well. Howie Carr ain't gettin' no younger.

I'm sorry but your post regarding what would we do if our neighbors were in fact our most feared enemies is not worth a response.

I do know about this, and i do know better, which is why i posted what i did.

Many people are victims. That money goes to no one, and those who dont "declare" it on their taxes always have a hassel. Trying to open up a charge account to discover you have unpaid electric bills in towns you never visited. Many examples, many ways citizens are hurt by this "victimless" crime.

And racist?   Woody is black folk, and I'm white folk.  Thats just a statement of what is, this bullshit about I don't see black and white is an affectation in real society here. Although not in alotta countries around the world.  And the point is, that there is not alot of black folk that are all bent out of shape about these folks that are taking these low paying menial jobs, the black folk who owned most of them jobs in the first place....and who are slllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwllllllllllly moving up the ghetto ladder into mainstream society. They are the frontline of people being dispossessed by illegal immigration.
