Or, if he is old, regular looking, of moderate means and intelligence and he can responsibly connect love with dominance. Honestly, I think if someone gave me 2000 male dominants who fit that description I could have them all paired in about... a heart beat.

If he is ANY AGE, regular looking, of moderate means and intelligence, can responsibly connect love with dominance, and stops pursuing the 18-year-old porn stars, he will have no problem getting a sub female. Also, if he doesn't complain on the message boards when those 18-year-olds aren't clamoring to suck his cock

ROFL. The funny thing is that's exactly how I think of them. I just tacked some random numbers on the end because I didn't feel like fighting with name collisions.

No, because he actually managed to explain a few things about Inspirational Leadership to me.

Some of his posts are uplifting too.

Cheer up, pam. We're all relatively the same.  Few quirks here and there. Some only have half a set of shoes. Not much of a difference.

Edit: Lol @ Jeff. I guess I'm reading your mind now. Be very afraid.

Orientation and gender are really stupid ways of deciding who's drawn the short straw.

You know who draws the short straw? Boring people. Unattractive people (I'm not talking about the physical here). People with no social skills. People with grating laughs. People with no perceptible sense of humor.

Feel sorry for those people.I know straight sub males who are chased by the women around them on account of their sheer awesomeness. People who lack awesome have it the worst, and a lack of awesome is an affliction that does not discriminate between genders or orientations or sexualities. So can the self-pity, OP, because it is decidedly un-awesome.

I'll join the fan club on this one....very well said, VC!

I would add to the short straw list -people who see the world through the *negativity* filter. The *other people always have it better than me* filter. Give me a break! We are each responsible for our own happiness.

People who are happy, attract other people who are happy. BK nailed it when he said, "And, who drew the short straw? The people who sit there spending time on bemoaning it in general. "

I'll finish it up with BreathandStone's quote, 'The idea of "the numbers game" is fundamentally flawed. We all have our own sets of wants, needs, deal breakers, desires. The trick isn't sorting through the available submissives to find the best one, or vying for the most desirable Dom - it's finding someone who suits you, and who you suit. You can't really quantify that. '

Someone else's perfect partner, is not my perfect partner. Every person I met while I was single taught me something. Marrying 3 other people before Otters, taught me something. I wasn't looking for a girlie-boy, but I had learned that making *what I was looking for* too narrow in definition was a mistake.

Being open to what the Universe offers you, setting Intention for what you want, and finding value in all experiences will make your life rich beyond words.

Any yes, BreathandStone, I did win the lottery!!!

That's the weird "MB" on the end of mine, which is supposed to stand for Message Boards. I started a profile with just "jujubee" and it didn't work on the message boards, and that profile is long gone and now I'm stuck with "MB" till the end of time. Curse you, CM glitches!!

Lance - I have failed. I have failed in my fag-hag-ness...I stand before you ashamed. Distraught.

I need to be spanked.

*cough*

Stray further off topic and the Mods will spank you w/o my help.

Fag hags do NOT get spanked by their fags...... hags are "supposed" to be vanilla AND straight.  AND sexually frustrated.  Think Grace of "Will and Grace."  Will and Grace "doing" it?  I think NOT.

You might be able to get in my good Graces (get it?) by sending pics, full details of date, AND what happened after.... That's where your fag comes in best - with the de-briefing...... <DAMN! you pervs KNOW what I mean.... >

I always had the impression that "fag hags" were attracted to men and wanted emotional intimacy with men but were terrified of physical intimacy with men. I have too small a statistical sample to go with but it was an impression.

As to the subs that move from Dom to Dom to Dom. There are a few flavors I've met that might be humorously described:

Cock-a-Doodle Doo, any Dom'll do!

I have this huge list of requirments and limits and if you don't meet each and every one; I'm outta here!

I'm going to do for you tons and tons of stuff you really never wanted done then throw tantrums and storm out when you don't do exactly what I want when I want as I want because I've done sooooo much for you.

Evil facdetious grin,
Stefan

In the end ... it's just as hard for anyone to find the 'perfect' match ...

Liken it to college days ...
- Take organic chemistry ... if you get a 40% out of 100% you get an A ... understanding the subject matter is that difficult.
- Take college history ... you need to get a 99% out of 100% to get an A ... it's that easy to understand the subject matter.
(Yes, I've taken both in college; I do have a liberal arts degree.)

In the end, it's just as hard to get an A (for wholly different reasons). The DIFFICULTY factor is balanced by sheer numbers.

Same with your sexual statistics ...

Point is, women, period, have an EASY time at having the whole of humanity thrown at them - but finding the "RIGHT" man is difficult (there are soooo many losers out there); while men have a much more difficult time finding women due to sheer overwhelming numbers in the competition (which is ironic actually, because there are just about as many men as women ... but nowhere near that ratio when it comes to sexual venues).

If I were to post your basic casual encounters personals ad on Craigslist, for example, I'd get one, maybe two non-spam replies in a single week before the ad expired. If I told them how much I make yearly, the numbers would only double or triple.

If a woman were to post a single sentence (maybe even a single word) in a casual encounters personals ad, she'd get nearly a hundred responses in just the first hour alone. Most of whom want a fling, and nothing else.

Likewise, if I were to post your average "men-seeking-women" ad, the response rate would go up, maybe double and if I supplied my 1040, it would quadruple ... but still, I'd have about a dozen candidates, at the very most to choose from - but probably none of them want "just" a fling - they all want what the category is for.

If the woman were to post to the "women-seeking-men" category, again, she'd be inundated with responses in the first hour ... HOWEVER ... most of those men would be looking for a quickie (aka no-strings attached, nsa, fwb, etc.) and many would be married. If she posts an attractive picture, her response rate would be so high as to be unmanageable, and she'd have to pull the ad just to save her email from the influx.
Note: Thin is to men as money is to women is apt, even here.

HOWEVER ... there is the overall quality to take into account. The QUALITY factor is balanced by sheer numbers.

In the end ... despite the hugely skewed odds, both find it somewhat difficult to find a suitable partner - but we all prevail in the end (we hope).

In summary, despite the huge difference in numbers, the end result is the same. We all find it a bit difficult but not too hard to find the RIGHT someone, despite the odds we're up against.

This is true, and it's probably fortunate that the definition of awesome varies a lot from one person to another (though I doubt self-pity comes too high on anyone's list). But surely it's also true that people of different genders and orientations may need different amounts of awesome to find a compatible partner? Demographics must come into play at some level.
