Strewth !, I find out more of what is happening in my own country from here, an American website !

The Tories are alienating the young, I wonder if when they grow up that is a sector of voters that are lost to the tories, which leaves only one party left, the devil of old, Labour, but perhaps better they than the milionaires waltz.

But the fuck up the tories and the the lib/dem coalition is making, labour is learning from their mistakes and their own, but now the protest vote has sunk in and labour have been replaced with danger, I see labour making a strong come back soon.

I dont think it is good policy to raise tuition.   The kids should be in a constructive mode....  idle hands can only leas to trouble.

But what I just don't get, is with the spending cuts the police and military have suffered more than ever before, it just does not make sense to attack the public and at the same time weaken the security who usually are the buffer between the policy makers and the public.

Either the government are extremely naive, or there is more to this plan that has yet to be revealed, I am just hoping naivety is all it is.

But the media no doubt are having a field day with these protests, but just watch how they respond and watch the language they use to describe what they report on.

Of all the press photographers there and the thousands of images taken, watch the way the pictorial story is told.

Frankly I thought the protests would be worse by now.

Far from it, most people here are educated enough to know cuts have to be made. Even the story in your OP was misleading, as it was only a minority of Students in London, considering the thousands that marched across the UK on the whole it was quite peaceful.

You do realize that at times the cops are agent provocateurs?

My initial look at this, I do not detect agent provocateurs.

People have got incredibly short memories. Labour made a similar pledge on student fees back in 1997 which ended up as just another broken promise.
Election promises are mere expressions of intent and mostly made out of hot air.

Imagine the riots if the EU enforce the ID card!

I feel sorry for the Police having to stand around in this freezing weather.

A compulsory, micro-chipped 'Identity Card'

When that day comes, I'll be going straight to jail!

Maybe you should try googling "Class War" rather than fretting about Police sleepers. If there's trouble at a student demo, it's a good bet Class War turned up and tried to start a fight.

No, the Police work for the establishment in order to enforce the status quo.

Yeah, ok, I am not mocking you Pa, but beware anyone in authority, they might, just might not be what you believe.
