Treasure found this for me, and we both laughed at how it exactly captures many of the threads here on the forums:

So you're a Tea Partier?

It's a three minute animated "discussion" between a lefty and a TEA partier.

Here is the transcript as well (thanks pet):

Lefty: "So you're a Tea Partier?"

Conservative: "Yes, I identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

Lefty: "And you believe that the earth is 5000 years old, homosexuality is by choice, humans can't influence the environment, and Barrack Obama is a Kenyan-Muslim?"

Conservative: "No.  But I identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

Lefty: "So you want to weaken the government so that big corporations will control our lives?"

Conservative: "No. I want to control my own life.  Limiting the power that the government can exert over our lives inherently limits the power of specials interests to coop that power."

*crickets chirping*

Lefty: "The Tea Party is backed by the Koch brothers.  You are a slave to corporate interests and you don't even know it."

Conservative: "David Koch has been a lifelong supporter of libertarian causes.  That means he identifies  with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government.  Like me."

Lefty: "But deregulation serves Koch's corporate interests."

Conservative: "First, when you talk about deregulation, you fail to differentiate between common rules which support free exchange by prohibiting fraud, and convoluted exception-based regulations which creates perverse incentives, encourages fraud, and limits free exchange.  Second, I get the feeling that you expected me to cringe at the thought of being associated with someone involved in a large, successful business."

Lefty: "So... you believe that Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell are geniuses then?"

Conservative: "No.  I think that they are vacuous retards whose public statements often sound like giddy beauty pageant contestants replying to a question about world peace.  But I share many of their views on the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

*more crickets*

Lefty: "You opposed socialized medicine because Obama is black, don't you?"

Conservative: "What?"

Lefty: "Tea Partiers are bigoted racists.  There's no other reason to oppose healthcare reform."

Conservative: "You believe that because Tea Partiers have something in common they must all share certain undesirable traits?  And you call Tea Partiers, "bigots"?"

Lefty: "But you do oppose health-care reform and want big insurance corporations to control our health-care, don't you?"

Conservative: "No.  Speaking broadly, I am against paying for routine medical care through a third party bureaucracy.  It distorts the market by distancing the consumer from the price signals which regulate supply and demand, and control costs.  I don't think you can fix this by putting the government in control of an even bigger third party bureaucracy.  It's one of those principals of smaller, less intrusive central government that I mentioned."

Lefty: "So... are you for Obamacare, or are you against Obamacare?"

Conservative: "Against."

Lefty: "Racist."

Conservative: "What?"

Lefty: "Racist."

Conservative: "I am not a racist."

Lefty: "You're actions speak louder than words."

Conservative: "What actions?  What are you talking about?"

Lefty: "I don't have to take this kind of abuse from racists."

Conservative: "What abuse?  I am not a racist."

Lefty: "Like I'm going to take the word of a racist.  I'm leaving.  You are probably late for a Klu-Klux Klan meeting or something anyway."

How fun! Allow me to write both sides now, M'kay?

Lefty: "So you're a Tea Partier?"

Conservative: "Yes, I identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

Lefty: "So you are opposed to the PATRIOT Act which allows the government to read your email and tap your phone without a court order?"

Conservative: "No. I fully support the unlimited power of the President during wartime, as outlined by the Bush Administration. But I identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

Lefty: "So you want to weaken the government so that big corporations will control our lives?"

Conservative: "No. I want to control my own life. Limiting the power that the government can exert over our lives inherently limits the power of specials interests to coop that power. But I won't bother to explain how lack of government regulation puts me on an equal footing with billionaires who control the marketplace. But I identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government."

"Common rules" are of course purely theoretical- no one has ever actually seen one in practice. For instance, the rule against blowing up mountaintops and letting the toxic waste flow downstream and poison the streambeds and water supplies of others, is one of those exception based regulations that we hate.

Secondly yes, Koch Industries utilizes the services provided by government, such as roads, ports, utility infrastructure, or protections such as police, fire, and education. But it is outrageous that they be asked to pay for it. After all they write articles demanding a smaller, less intrusive central government from the comfort of a Medicare-provided scooter. Like me."

Lefty: "So... you believe that Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell are geniuses then?"

Conservative: "No. I think that they are vacuous retards whose public statements often sound like giddy beauty pageant contestants replying to a question about world peace. But I enthusiastically voted for them, and I share many of their views on the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government. A smaller less intrusive government that outlaws masturbation and bans books."

I think you can fix this by having people pay for their own health care- for instance, who doesn't have $50,000 laying around in their trust fund to pay for medical care? Besides, anyone who can't afford to pay $5,000 per week for chemotherapy can simply leave the marketplace, and voila, problem solved! Simple really.
It's one of those principals of smaller, less intrusive central government that I mentioned."

Lefty: "Racist."

Conservative: "I am not a racist."

Lefty: "You're actions speak louder than words."

Conservative: "What actions? Just because we paint posters of Obama as an African witch doctor, and call him a foreigner, an alien who isn't like Americans, just because we make pictures of his logo as graffitti on Mt. Rushmore, and say he is a Kenyan-born Muslim radical, why, thats because we identify with the principal of a smaller, less intrusive central government. Like me."

What's the tea party's position on Dick Cheney getting us into an illegal war and getting the government to spend billions of dollars in taxes to his old corporation Halliburton? They don't like big government but they don't seem to mind that.

Actually I'm more of an independent. I have voted for republicans. But, it's been quite awhile since they've run a candidate with any depth or wealth of knowledge.

I would have been fine with McCain being president until he chose Palin for Vice. And now her mentality has taken over the republican party.

Lefty:....So you are a tea partier?

Conservative:...Yeah.

Lefty: ........Where were you when Bush was President?

Conservative:......It wasn't necessary to create such a group at that time. There was a Republican in the White House, we instead chose to employ the tactic of scaring the masses with the fact that homos were going to marry and destroy all of their family values....We even suggested a constitutional amendment to ban that from ever occurring.

Lefty:... What ever happened to that proposed amendment?

Conservative:....Ha ha ha ha ha....Once Bush was reelected it was all forgotten. Just like this whole tea party business will go away once the witch doctor is out of the White House.

Lefty:....So people like popeye, Firm and so many others are just being duped?

Conservative:....Oh yeah...They are idiots. Don't you read the stuff that they write? They swallow anything and everything that they are fed. They don't have the ability to question their government. They are actually fairly deplorable as Americans....(chuckling). Thank God for that type of mentality.

Lefty:...Wonderful.

And thanks to Treasure, for the find, and you for the thread, Firm. I'll be passing that one on.

It's interesting how many lefties and liberals are completely incompetent to discuss conservative thought, unless they are allowed to tell us what we think, and go from there, and even when get away with that, they must keep demonization close at hand.

Satire frightens them, and that's funny to me.

You mean besides mithra? Good question. I would suggest that she might provide a link, but I wouldn't put money on it. Maybe she got it from the same source that claims Sarah was trying to ban Harry Potter before it was released.
