I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but the video in the OP was a retaliation response to the original video, linked here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnUfPQVOqpw&feature=related

Hilarious!

That was funny, if not disturbing. Using the characters for IPhone & HTC, to the political realm of 'Everyone Intelligent & Sane' vs 'Tea Partiers'. Its to bad the OP did not offer this video up in the first place. It does discribe how Tea Partiers handle legitimate questions and inquiries, without absolutely insane answers.

So the Tea Party went with the party that could help them get elected instead of the one they were more aligned with.. So much for integrity...

Unfortunately, politics involves having to do things you don't necessarily agree with and can't completely endorse.  I'm sure President Obama would prefer not to have to compromise with the Republicans in Congress, just as I'm sure the Republicans in Congress would prefer not to have to try to work with the Democrats there.

I don't view it as a lack of integrity.  It's just learning to get along so something can be accomplished.

That's exactly how the system works. But the Tea Party candidates accuse their opponents of playing politics and their followers eat it up. And, I don't mean young people. I mean people my age. How many times are they going to buy the bullshit???!!! How can anything get accomplished if the people voting don't even understand how the system works?

Sadly, I think both of your parties are pretty happy that most of the electorate don't have a fucking clue how the system works.

Satire should always go both ways. Firm's was the funnier of the two.

So, what is the conservative position on the arms reduction treaty (and why)? Compare and contrast that to the nutsucker postion (and why), which must somehow be along the lines of agreement in that it reduces spending on non-necessary items.

No Teabaggers are in Congress at the mo, so I suspect it will pass overwhelmingly when they come on board?

Or?

Or?

I guess you're assuming that I'm a Democrat. I'm not.

But, that was my point.

Ok, mine's not funny, but I found it doing a search for Libertarian compared to Tea party...

May I ask about the accuracy of this piece. I can speak to the accuracy from the Libertarian standpoint, but I am simply not as familiar with the Tea Party perspective from those who embrace this philosophical viewpoint rather than from pundits.

I won't say that there aren't some people who have such limited viewpoints, but I don't believe they are prevalent nor are they representative of the Tea Party.  I think there are individuals like this who are on the fringes in all the political parties, but I believe most Americans have a very reasonable and moderate opinion with regard to the different topics brought up... at least where there can be.  Not all social problems have an easy answer and not all people are well versed in the issues.

My understanding is that the common thread amongst those who identify with the Tea Party is simply a desire for smaller Federal government... a return to the constitutional idea of a Federal government whose role is clearly defined and limited to essentially national security, commerce, and foreign affairs.

All other issues should be handled either individually, locally, or by the states... ideally with the majority of power resting on the individual.

I disagree. It was most likely funnier to you because it's closer to your political ideals.  I realize that saying it was less original would be somewhat unfair seeing as it is supposed to be a parody, but it really jumped the shark when he called the guy a 'fuckturd.'

It's actually funnier how the term lefties has become so predominant on this board.

Especially from people who claim they are independent thinkers.

Thats the power of persuasion, and of independent thought for you. I'm sure you are equally concerned at the hate-speech directed at the "Rethuglinazis" from your little friends.

Besides, RML, it doesn't include you anyway. You are in the libtard/teabaggee section.

I'm not sure how you can complain I call them teabaggers when that is what they called themselves until someone told them the dirty little secret of what teabagging is.  Then they suddenly became the tea party and were outraged by calling them what they started out calling themselves.

Just way too funny.

As far as the lefties thing, you missed my point.

We have all these conservative Republicans on here who claim they are Independents, and claim they never listen to people like Limbaugh and O'Reilly.

Yet they consistently parrot the exact words, phrases, and talking points used on those shows.

I'm not actually: I don't give a shit how you vote.
I was merely pointing out that despite all of the partisan squabbling, the Repukes and the Demoshits are more or less identical in ideological terms. I think you've helped confirm that one yourself.
