Hello A/all,

I have to say first that I am with Lady Pact on this one. I suspect that, "Tell me why you want to serve me!" is an in-artful whay of saying, "Please explain what interests you about me."

Did you read the profile or just look at the first photo? Is this a message expressing interest in her or is this a blanket query that you send to every Domme within 500 miles?

Seeks, You have to give these ladies a break. Some ladies are bombarded with with one liners and vulgar messages (just like all of mine) that would make a slab of granite blush.

There may also be more going on than you already know because a lot of submissives come into a discussion in the latter part of the discussion and then want to know why they don't know more about the conversation. Think of it this way: If that woman you talk about with her profile (and I'm being as generic as you were being) is actually a dominant who is quite well known in her bdsm community, she might already be tired and exhausted by the numerous males who write her wanting to get close to her, so rather than deal with any of that nonsense, she write a profile that states: Tell me why you want to serve Me. I know of a couple of dominants who do that all of the time because they expect you to know who they are, and if you don't, they're probably not that interested in you in the first place.

I've always felt that if someone writes something in a profile that doesn't make me happy, I go onto the next profile and try not to worry about what caused someone to write a profile that got me upset. In simple communication terms, you've lost the battle if you're going to allow someone to control your emotions that well before you've even met the person. No one is capable of making you feel anything until you really get to know that person.

So, if you see a profile that says something you don't like, go onto the next profile. Psychoanalyzing why some random woman writes something seems like such a waste of valuable time that could be spent watching Elmo teach us about the virtues of counting to the number 5. Well, it's valuable for me at least. But I'm just a friendly muppet.

I doubt they think as far as that you can see them reading the profile, they are possibly trying to cram it all in, doing speed reading so that they can try and wing it...

Heh. It's fun if you're a submale dealing with an obvious baiter-and-switcher. They never read your profile and frequently write something short and 'dommely-commanding' like (as I had this morning), only the words, 'Write Me'. My profile may seem new- but I've been on CM for a number of years... and I think every woman here tries to figure out some way to encourage those people who respond to her more erudite and verbose...

I finally gave up and just realized that I would have to wade through the messages that were simply inappropriate... especially since the folks who are particularly wretched don't read your entire profile anyway...

To me, it is incredibly disrespectful to NOT learn as much as you can about someone before you contact them. The information contained in a profile is a free and hopefully honest look into who they are.

As to answering the question, I would just be honest and 'pour forth' as I call it. If I offer too much and/or say something that doesn't appeal to them, I just think they decided I am not for them. I have hope that I will find someone to serve some day.
