I've told you before, RF: he has a maid who comes in twice a week to do the irony for him. He pays her in silver...

Now that was quite funny. [:D]

Hey Moon- when was your last shower?

State the date and time.

About eight this morning.

Still, as that's a fact, I'm sure you'll ignore it.

So you are presentable,  in the happenstance that the Queen would pop in?

I didn't mean to imply that British tourists are any better. Christ Jesus no. I just find the fact that so many American tourists are exactly as per stereotype highly amusing. You actually couldn't get any closer sometimes if you set out to replicate the concept.

Too damned right.  On Charing Cross Road, many years ago, I passed a huge man - sunglasses, Hawaiian T shirt, long shorts, festooned with cameras and other gadgets I barely recognised - standing next to a tiny woman who I took to be his wife.

Both were poring over a map.  I heard the woman say, "Why don't we ask this gennelman, Hank?' and Hank reply, "OK, Miriam'.  So Hank says to me, "Sir, could you tell me how to get to Ley-Cester-Square?"

I mean, it was all so stereotypical that I actually looked around for hidden movie-cameras, with Candid Camera-style TV shows in mind.

Heh.  Though, they may have been putting it all on for effect.  Re that thought: on a visit to the USA, I might feel inclined to lay on the Britishness with a trowel.  After all, it's only fair that Americans get as much amusement from Brit tourists as American tourists have given us.

The people that travel like that - are not really representative of the population as a whole.

Of course they aren't - I'd take that for granted.  It's just fun when they are, that's all.

Point taken.

It is odd how some- many people are so bent on taking pictures that they miss the experience.    People even take pictures in church now.  Like wow.

Point taken.

Consider tho that Europeans do not shower daily like we do.   They then pack on noxious cologne and smart (?) clothes....

quote:

They also lack basics like the good kind of toilet paper- like we have here in the US. The white soft kind- double ply.

At times like this, I am nearly convinced, that while you are a bit of a nutter and a conspiracy loon, you most certainly are pulling our collective legs, giggling manically at you computer screen all the time.

At least, that is what I hope. For your sake.

People who live in detached houses have a much better quality of life.

Some humor is good-   and a nice diversion from the doom and gloom-  right?

I've had the same thought.  A big clue that we have that kind of troll on our hands is that he/she doesn't ever seem to feel insulted when attacked.  It's always water off a duck's arse.

Whereas loons who don't take their meds, don't.

The same, of course, could equally be true if he's off his noggin :)

Lately- I would rather be slap happy then upset over NWO doom.

I pretty much get along with everybody.    To include our friends from the UK/EU.

if one is consistently presented with someone  who curls in the corner of their padded cell, laughing like woody woodpecker and slobbering like cujo there is very little breadth, however deep indeed the depth, to draw an overreaching opinion on.

As classic a case of self-delusion as any I've seen.

The Brits set their clocks to Big Ben.

Where as the Americans use satellite hook ups vis-a-vi computers and cell phones.

Which, in turn, are set to Big Ben. [;)]
