Accidents can happen and I am much more RACK than SSC, however accidents tend to happen more easily if you don't have the skill set, we all take risks, but it depends if we take them reckless or calculated. For example after years of practise, I consider myself quite accurate with a single tail, but I will never ever have 100% accuracy, I'm human and not a robot, anybody playing with me and being into whippings can be assured that I won't take a crazy risk and I rather decline when I feel that a risk is to great. The amount of times I heard that I'm not a twu domme because I wouldn't take a crazy risk, yeah well, if somebody wants to risk being maimed or killed, fine but not with me... So anybody advocating something I think is too risky, yep, I'll say something, what the people do in the end is up to them but I rather say it than let them "experiment" with a possibly disastrous result. But those whole "First post, looking for <insert activity> want instant fulfillment..." if we don't treat them with velvet gloves, great, because hopefully it's a wake up call. I rather have somebody being pissed off than somebody injured or trolling, and yes I do get a bee up my bonnet if people think it's the instant fantasy fulfillment here and all they have to do is post what they want, and if they don't have it within a week, they can bitch about that we're all just fakes...

RF, the main point to My most recent post had much to do with what I thought the OP meant as part of the discussion. I honestly hadn't believed that the OP meant her own particular case. Rather, I had thought she was also including other examples of things she had seen happen on the forums. If we're going to talk about how 'new' people are received here, I think we have to look at the whole picture. Not just one individual's case. As has been pointed out throughout the thread, we're not talking only about docile little lambs who have no reason for anybody to think badly of them. Quite a few folks through their own words made their own bed.
