Of course it's pointless whining. Nothing short of war will change things and in my opinion, that day can't come soon enough. I have nothing against the president making these speeches. I just think they should call them something else. Greed and unions don't mix.

There is something to be said about the days when the President just sent a letter.

You could just read the speech the next day, if you prefer.

Or watch something else. Bewitched reruns, perhaps.

Thank you for your suggestions, MM. However, there is a part of me that says that watching or listening to the speech is just part of what a good, responsible citizen does. *shrug* Kind of like voting prepared and watching the election returns. There are just things that you do. It is probably due to the indoctrination from my parents.
